Hey guys,

I've been growing this plant for about a week 2 weeks under an envirlite, i'm using miracle gro moisture control soil (I know people dont like it but there are those of us that do like it) I havent added any extra nutes, just been watering every 3-4 days (when moisture is no longer aparent in soil about an inch or 2 down)

I noticed today when i came home from work, that my bottom leaves (you know the ones that dont fan but arent those little ones (forgotten the name of 'em))

Temp is rather high at times ranging from 75-90, i got my new fans today tho so i shall be fitting them shortly w00t!

What do you think the yellowing could be guys? (Pics attached)

pots are too small, heat too high or not stable enough your fans should fix that, and probably needs nutes with a high nitro% for that early in the veg and the plant being so small. make sure the ph is around 6.5

Container to small..

soooo-

I would recommend a transplant into a 3 gallon container with a thorough watering every 5-10 days...

Yes, pH your water... That plant looks like it has great genetics and will be redy to flower in 5-10 days after transplant..

I have a limited grow space so my pots are still relatively small i've been looking at getting some bigger square pots to better fit the grow space and maximize size.

I shall start to PH my water, previously been letting it sit for 24-48hrs to clear chlorine... i have some fish blood and bone somewhere i shall check that for its nute stats, bit worried about adding nutes to miracle grow tho, figured i wouldnt use nutes until flowring stage (Have ionic bloom for that)

Also gunna get the misses to grab me some pots on her way home from work 2moro ;) Cheers for the advice again GK I'll keep ya posted

Ok so i obviously dont want to overwater my plants, but i want to rectify this problem, should I just wait and PH my next water (about 3-4days away) and see how it goes or water sooner with good Ph'd water?

(Probably sounds stupid but im still kinda new to growing :))

yeah those cups are perfect for that stage of the plant. Thats not even really veg yet. What kind of water u using? Tap or distilled. Maybe a ph
problem with the water.

Aye i've been using just plain old tap water and leaving it out to get rid of chlorine (sp?) I have to admit it could be a bit of a heat problem, but I was also thinking nitro deficency as i came home from work today and i have a slight rusting look on 1 of my fan leaves!

Went to a few "Garden" stores for what they are worth in this god awful country, and couldn't find ANY ph water testers! *Pulls hair out!*

Ok guys i've added my two new fans in to the mix (2 - 120mmx120mm PC fans both are 76.2cfm i believe)

My temp is still around 85-90 F, still got slight yellowing on leaves tho and it seems to be moving up, i've ordered some PH Water testing stuff but untill it comes has any1 got any ideas on how to keep my plant alive lol

Here are some new pics:

The way the leaves are curled it looks like they're to hot. Give them some time and move the lights back a bit. They can snap out of a ph problem but the leaves will never repair themselves. Look for your new problems in your new growth.

Yeah heat is a problem i've been trying to rectify sincwe day 1, I Know have the 2 120mm fans as exhausts I have light baffled my box with putting cardboard around the fan holes using another fan to keep the space between the box and the light baffle clear.

Still running at about 35C I'm going to be getting another 2 120mm fans i think and i'll have a 3rd extracting and the last as an intake! Hopefully this can cut the heat down suffeciently.

Well after coming home from work today i checked in on my plants and they are looking al ot better the temp has been about 25C (not sure what that is in F) i'm guessing the temp drop is because im now venting my light baffle (sounds odd but no light comes out + i have more vent)

I've also kept the window open in room the grow box is in, which helped (70MPH winds any1)

I'll take some pics 2moro and show you guys how they are looking

As promised here are some pics... the temp was about 27.5C so still not too bad :) The new growth is nice and dark green, however the older growth is still slightly paler, could this be a defficency of some form?

any help would be grately appreciated

The newer growth seems to start off fine, but the yellow seems to be killing off a set of leaves then moving up... i've ph'd my water to 6.5 and watered, yet it's still happening and i can't figure it out! I'm waiting on a PH checker to come just to check my soil PH, but it's not looking good on my plants... i'll take pics in a sec!

Ok here are the pics...
1st one is just a pic of the plant
the next 2 are pics of the yellowed leaves that are pretty dead,
and the last one is a pic of the newer leaves that were fine, starting to yellow.

Ok more pics as the problem seems to be progressing and what ever i do to fix it hasnt worked so far... the temp is at a steady 70-80 (best i can get it atm i plan on getting a nice big extractoin fan for it but thats gotta wait till pay day, the new fan should make it rest on 75F)

The water im using (tap water left to stand) is being PH'd to 6.8, my water run off is roughly the same PH, as yet i don't have a soil PH meter (currently waiting on delivery)

It's deffinatly not root bound, any1 have any ideas?

In reply to Jetson: The higher leaves seem fine until the lower leaves have turned all yellow and died then it spreads up a set...
