She wants more nitrogen... Many of them want more nitrogen than expected in flower....
agreed. I had a purple urkle x gsc that showed red stems. yellowing from the bottom up. and just slow growth overall. I was nervous to treat as a nitro def being I was 5 wks into flower. sure enough after adding some bio marine fish fert , the plant responded and just took off. had to feed N till week 6. then she slowed her n consumption. it was an 10 wk strain. I feel like about 4 weeks from finishing is when most plants stop uptaking N

Thanks Cx2H, this may be a silly question... I've never worked with Epsom salt. Are you recommending that for the magnesium, the sulphur, or both? The reason I ask is I have Cal-Mag, so if it's mostly the magnesium the plant needs am I ok to just run the Cal-Mag instead of Epsom salt? I'm of course fine with getting Epsom salts, I'm more trying to learn with this question.
The issue with using cal mag for a magnesium def is the general ratio of calcium to magnesium in most calmag supplements are roughly 4 parts calcium to 1 part magnesium. So to feed enough mag to treat the deficiency, you would be over dosing your plant with calcium causing lock out. Epsom salts is perfect for treating magnesium def only. just dump 1/4 - 1/2 tsp of espsom salts into a gal of water

After all this amazing help from everyone, I didn't want to leave this thread without a positive conclusion. I ended up harvesting this Orinoco at 9-weeks + 2 days (breeder estimated 9-week flower). The trichomes were slight amber and mostly milky with a few clear... but the leaves were pretty dry and hurting so I figured it was time. It took longer than expected so I did it over two days and yielded a total of 494 grams wet with stems, which for me historically dries down to about 19% wet weight, for an estimated total of 93.9 grams, or 3.35 ounces dry without stems. And, I got A LOT of trim to make dry ice bubble hash, which I'm very excited about. I haven't tried this medicinal strain yet as it's curing now in jars but I'm expecting great things. Thanks again everyone, I don't think all my mistakes would have worked out on this grow without all your help. This forum is great! I'll post again after a few weeks of cure with super duper final results.

Check out YouTube for videos on dry ice bubble hash, there's lots! It's amazing and easy... this is my last grow that I got 28g of dry trim. Throw trim and dry ice into a bucket, wrap in bubble bag, and shake the crap out of it onto a table. Takes less than 5 minutes. I use the crystals to "supercharge" a vaporizor but you can cook with, bong hit, etc. I got a press but it was just a novelty, I ended up crushing them back down to powder for use. Next time I'll try a finer screen for higher quality.

Can you fill me in? What is the benefit of hash over just rolling a joint? I smoked hash a lot in Canada and it ALWSYS seemed very harsh. Trying to expand my knowledge base, thanks

As a forum reader I get frustrated when I read a long thread and there isn't closing info on final results, so here are mine from this thread:

This Orinoco is amazing! Internet says it's 9% THC and 13.5% CBD. I wasn't expecting to get "high" from it, but you actually do, and the CBD seems pretty amazing too! This was my first try of a medicinal strain and have become a big fan. It's my wife's favorite strain by far right now.

In the end I yielded 3.83 Ounces from the single plant, which was greater than expected. And, for anyone following this thread, this was with me making a few pretty major grow mistakes... so great plant overall.

Thanks again to everyone who helped, this forum is a great resource with lots of helpful people.
