Thank you.. The roots only took a few days to start growing through the net pots.. The water level submerges the bottom half of pot while flooding, and they flood every 3 hours for 15 minutes.
That makes lots of sense.. Weird thing is some of my roots haven't taken off like others have raced away.. and the plants that have healthy looking root systems are growing like mad! Those with roots are trying to catch up to those that are already established.. I had a larger plant that was having root problems and my smaller plants caught up to it in size within days so I put the problem plant in dirt hoping it will do well..
Thank you for the response.. Yes, I've noticed the clones usually take anywhere from 8-16 days for substantial roots to show, but some clones are a little more pesky and don't wanna improve.. another thing I've noticed about cloning is that in the puck you're using to make sure the stem isn't being strangled by the puck, or you could kill the clone by it being pinched from puck. Cold water, but not icy water will also encourage clones to take off being that there is less chance for mold to grow. Thanks again.. + REP
Hello there. Yes, I've had clones die due to being choked from the puck. I keep the clones roughly 1/2 inch into the water in the bubble cloner.. Check this video of an easy cloner construction, this is the method I went with, and it works nicely.
