Yet another newbie first time AG grow

Yea man jus keep an eye on that pH.18/6 should be good, how many extra CFL's you got in there? How often are you putting water in there, just depends on how much they drink. I think your good with 1/4, just bump it up to half a small tab, then in a week go to half a tab and 1/4 of the other half, then eventually to a whole tab and so forth. I fed mine the tabs everytime i had to topp off the rez, then at the end of the week, give them a water change

I have 1 extra cfl in there, because the AG Deluxe has three big ones in there already and I didn't want to give them too much light.

I put water in there everytime the res is low I top it off like you do and then every week i replace the entire water.

Now that I am to 18/6 with the light, do I need to have the AG pump and airstone shut off too for 6?

No you NEED that airstone on 24/7, dont connect it with the timer, they need the oxygen in the water or they will die off,

The More light The better man, With CFL's its kinda hard to give too much light, you want them to growth as much as possible during the Veg cycle, so when it come to flowering, there are a bunch of bud sites

I didn't know that thanks!! I'll make sure I pick up maybe 2 more cfl's and leave that airstone running.

What about the AG pump, does that need to be on 24/7?

Also, I love high life

It's a good idea to turn your water pump off when your roots are well established in the water to prevent stem rot, mold and other bad things.

I'm not a big fan of beers. High life is one of the more tolerable cheap beers. If I was going to get a 6 pack, it would have to be something along the lines of Hofbrau, Shiner Blonde, Sam Adams Winter Lager or Boulevard Wheat. Wine is my favorite, though, haha! I'm more about the taste than the drunk.

Judging by my previous picture, do you think the roots are well established?
they look good, but i'd give em a couple more days to beef up. But yeah, once they hit the water, that's all the pump is really for, to guide the roots down into the water, so you can turn it off

Ok guys sorry it has been so long since I have updated but I have been really busy.

I am happy to report that 2 of the 3 are doing very well. They are both about 2 to 3 feet tall.

Its been about 5.5 weeks since I started and I am on a light cycle of 18/6.

My problem is that the plants are growing so fast. Everytime I raise the hood to the next notch, they grow right back up to the top in one day!

I havn't seen any flowers yet, does that come when I switch to 12/12 light?

When should I swith over to 12/12?

All and all I am really pleased with my progress and the AG

Damn man, could have gone 12/12 like a week ago, they will just about triple in size when flowering

your going to have to tie some of those top down, and LST her

How would I got about doing that? Tieing some of the tops down and LST her?

I would suggest topping down to a height that will be manageable when it triples, give it a week to recover and throw it into 12/12.
here i found this

http://forum.grasscity.com/absolute-beginners/122936-how-lst-low-stress-training.html

you basically just gentely tie down the shoots and tops, then they start to grow bac up to the light, or you can topp them

https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/13820-fimming-topping-101-a.html

to make them shorter
Awsome! Thanks for the advice I didn't know plants could adapt like that. Its crazy.

Any Idea on how long till the end? I know everyone asks that, but Im really excited that I havn't fucked to much stuff up yet.
