Hello Wonderblunder-
The Harvest has started....
I took 70-75% off of three plants today (left the popcorn buds to grow a bit more).
It took 4 of us about 3 hrs to do the 1st round of trimming.
Round 2 tonight, going to take a Master Kush, the whole thing, and 70-75% of one of the "Purps". We harvested one of the Purps clones earlier today...WOW, 2-3 times the "GOO" then the seed stock plants. This strain will be in the garden over the winter indoor project, and next years outdoor. 104.4 in the garden today, 10 degree cool down starts tomorrow, 20 degrees cooler by Tuesday......thank god.
More to come...and photos too!

very nice TMB!!!! This was my first grow year also...as for the green house roof idea...the one I built, with a steel dog kennel as a frame, has a retractable roof, I built in rails used on a garage door to slide the plastic covering open and closed...works great for ventilation.... great growin folks!!!

HI. YOU (left the popcorn buds to grow a bit more).COOL, I Just harvested my 1rst plant few days ago and also left smaller buds. Didn't know if that was good to do or not? Didn't want to ask on this forum, I just did it. So hearing that you did that reasured me that its not a bad thing to do. They have swollen up a bit in the last 4 days! You have a nice harvest! enjoy!

Thanks PaPi- I'll keep checking for signs of showing their sex, i know it's getting close that's why i asked. Anyone else in the Sierra foothills, or California? Hot as hell here today, 104.7 in the garden today @ 2250 ft elevation. It just went under 80 degrees here and it's midnight. Weather man says it's going to be like this for next 7-10 days. Not sure how much heat the plants can take. Should i worry?, do i need to provide shade? I water everyday when it's this hot, in the evenings when the sun is off them. Should i water in the mornings insted? maybe both morning and evening? I see signs of a couple leaves burning, but only on 1 plant. any advise?
I would water more as heat rises. The water will evaporate a lot faster in excessive heat. So maybe a full watering in the morning.. and about 1/3 of the normal watering early afternoon to keep them from drying out.

Hello All-
Worked in the garden this morning putting up a roof over the top. I used recycled 1-1/4" x20 foot PVC pipe. Then 5' wire mesh on top of the PVC, very happy with the results. Came back out this evening to do some more work on the roof and I found a visitor in the garden. Pictures below, also tell me what you thing about the new roof.

Awesome job on the garden architecture, and beautiful plants.
