Your opinion on a 500w Portable Halogen Floodlight and Fluorescent Cabinet Light

I went to the hardware store to grab some light bulb splitters for my cfl grow when I stumbled on two things.

The first was a 500w Portable Halogen Floodlight or 15$ Does this sound like a decent deal? I cant do HID for this grow.

The second was a a plug in portable fluorescent "cabinet" light for 20$. The wattage was low being it was a small tube. 8w Maybe? Figured this would be good standing alongside the plant.

No man... Halogen is really crap for plants...if you want HID lighting stick to MH and HPS... - ZTELTHY :leaf:
