Hello everyone, old, new, newb, long time growers. I love coming on here as I find it the best site to get a helping hand along the way, be it compliments or constructive criticism.
I'm a newb as some of you know as I've spoken to a few really kind growers who have pointed me in the right direction..
First grow so i haven't done anything fancy although ive read loads about it and hoping to try newt time or time after.
Anyway, could some kind person give their honest opinion as how the girls are coming along?
I've tried to follow the advice as best as i can.
Sorry about the quality of the pictures, still can't get a decent pic from my phone.
I do not have a clue if they are looking ok for how old they are, or should they be looking better than they are. Monday i stripped a few leaves as it was end of the 2nd week, and also tucked some under. I would of took more but im still locked in battle of should i strip the plant of a lot of its leaves, as ive read after 2 weeks in flower that the plants do not need as many as they stopped growing (how true that is i do not know, ive seen so many conflicting comments).
So could you please help me along the way, to try and get a good 1st grow, ive already learned so much, so my outlook is they look ok, but im NOT a seasoned grower who knows what he is on about.

Id really apppreciate your views negative or positive, and whatever im doing wrong i can correct.

Kit is

3x600watt hps lights
1 x 8" outlet fan
1x 8" inlet let both are set up to a system which measures air temp etc.
1 x IWS flood and drain system
Medium =60/40 Colo
2 feeds per day (shogun range)

I do have 2 plants which havent picked up as much as the other, so ive bought a 1000 watt LED light which i have learned will probably not put that much out, but i dont mind, and i was thinking of adding this to the room to get a bit more light in, will it help or would it be a good waste of electric, and the best place to put it.

I appreciate any replies good or bad, and hopefully soon i wont need to be asking so much, but i cannot work out if they are coming on good, or lagging, there are a lot more kola sites showing now and i know i need to keep them clear so the light can get to them.

So here goes guys and girls.. A newbs first attempt growing

Peace and good wishes to all :D

Looks fine for 3 weeks. Dense canopy, what's your room size and humidity lights on/off? Hows your airflow?

I wouldn't defoliate at this point. Usually defoliate right after flip or a couple weeks out max. You could thin put the canopy if air flow is bad though. Better than risk a mold attack.

Looking good Friend!
FF
Thank you very much FF, thats given me a bit of confidence. Its so bloody hard to want to get everything right, never in my wildest dreams did i think so much went into it.
If it was not for the pain im in i might of buckled before now, but the medical facts speak wonders.
Ive already picked a seed id like to grow next because of the medicinal content is Dalahaze!! How hard it is to grow i have no idea, or another ive thought of is "Sunset Daydream" , although it seems a bit strong, but im sure i can get used to it in small doses.
Once again i appreciate your comment FF
Peace
Regards
JL.

Thank you very much mate. I got my humidity down to 44 at first, but its risen to 52 :( . The airflow is good mate, room size not 100% sure , but id guess at 10ft x 8ft. The airflow is controlled by a machine which i cant for the life of me remember at the moment, but if the room reaches 25 degrees the fan sends out more airflow to keep the room quite well ventilated, i also have 2 x 7"fans, one on the floor, one on the canopy reflector aiming at the lights. Then i have a biggish fan, where it moves the airflow around in different directions https://onestopgrowshop.co.uk/products/12-inch-315mm-air-circulator-plastic-floor-stand-fan
When you say or a couple of weeks out max , do you mean say week 6 or 7 depending on if you are flowering 8 or 9 weeks mate? Little slow on picking up the lingo.

Thank you so much @G.I.JOSE .JOSE, and firstly may i say you are not butting into the conversation, your a diamond for 1- your very nice comment 2- your input into the thread which may help to promote a little more bud. Sadly ive already bought a light, which does not look as good as the one you have put up mate. Thanks for your thinking of not keeping me hanging in there, i appreciate your great advice and anything what you have to say. Hopefully this first one will help me and if i do another i wont be asking all bloody questions, and pestering you lads and ladies. I will be too busy thanking you all mate.
Kind regards JL

Forgot to mention, fantastic videos mate, really enjoyed them, and your girl looks tremendous mate

Thanks. Don't be afraid to ask questions, when I first started out I was asking all kinds of questions. There is an abundance of information online that you can find, but you never really know what really works. They might be just trying to sell a product or get likes on their YouTube channel. I just like being real if I can help you out I will, if I know somebody that could help you I'll recommend them. All of my grows are done at the very minimum amount of money spent. So if I can save you money with a tip I would be happy to do so. I'm going to subscribe to your Journal so please feel free to hit me up anytime if you have anymore questions. Cheers!

Yep what Jose said. I think you're okay, just keep your lights off RH in check. I know for me when I have had a dense canopy like that I found it hard to control my RH and airflow, and had problems. Early flower 52% is okay but personally i like a constant 45% after 4 weeks into bloom.

Thank you so much for your kind post mate. It makes me feel a lot better now to be able to ask questions without feeling a nuisance all the time. Its a real nice touch from you G.I.JOSE mate.
I have been sold some useless additives at the start of the grow, the people in the shop saw me coming when i asked for some good nutrients to add to the other nutrients , 2 products spring to mind which cost £67 about $85 and i didnt need them.
Thank you for the offer to ask you anything mate, feel much more at ease now.
Yeh i know people come on everyday who are new asking all sorts, and may not think anything of it, but i get the feeling that im bothering someone.
I do know this section of the board is for newbies, so i mostly tend to read what others ask and see if i can pick up info rather than ask.
Cheers

Nice one Khyber420 thank you very much. One thing is confusing "keep your lights off RH in check" what exactly does that mean mate, ive not come across that saying before. Also i wish i could get humidity down to what yours is mate, i will keep working at it though. Thanks for all your help mate

When lights are on the room is warmer, that gives the air the capacity to hold more water and as a result RH drops. So managing daytime humidity is typically easier. Lights off, temps drop and as a result RH can skyrocket (depending on your specific environmental factors). My first grow I didnt run a heater or dehumidifier at night and as a result lost a crop to mold. All it took was a few nights where my RH hit around 60. The denser and bigger the bud the greater the risk as then moisture gets in there and hangs around, making a nice home for spores to latch onto.

Nice one Khyber420 mate, what a great comment with loads of information. I didnt have a clue it did that it stood for that. I do know that when lights have been off the humidity is a bit higher but soon as the room warms up the humidity drops.
I do have a heater in my room which comes on when lights go out. Its on full whack as the room does get a bit cold sometimes. The last thing you need is moisture getting in the buds, thats got to be a right downer, doing all the hard work and have it spoiled due to the room temps. I hope that is not the case here im relying on some bud so i can hopefully control the pain im in mate
