How did that even happen!

I used to get excited about it but with experience it's just a bit extra work - part of gardening. Don't grow too many monsters anymore, but they were fun.

Yesterday was Ellie's 3rd birthday. She received steak and baked potatoes to celebrate. Ruff life.

Wind storm Aug 2020. A bit of electrical tape and some zip ties. Made a full recovery.

It's mainly the leaves that need to be raked up in the fall - which get burned on site. Many of the seed pods don't drop till late spring. The pods are emptied and seeds donated. Some seeds were also planted and transplanted to a local community for park trees.

We have 4 Kentucky coffee trees - 3 females and one male. Planted seeds 23 years ago and have given hundreds of seeds since they started producing. That tree has the largest leaf of any Canadian tree. But they are messy.

We rarely get takeout, but this was $7 - good value, but couldn't eat it all. Pig shot (bacon wrapped kielbasa, stuffed with cream cheese and topped with cheddar), garlic mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, beans and a slab of pork roast. Cheater meal of the month.

Got married at the Little White Chapel in '97 - took the mystery out of the commitment after 8+ years. Vegas was hella hot in May. Good times.

Painted our mailbox several colours a few years ago here in the bible belt. The delivery person wouldn't raise/touch the pink flag for a couple days - LMAO from the window. I've had some great conversations about inclusivity since and have learned some things too. Colours are for everyone!

Bella appeared shy at first but wasn't long rolling over for belly rubs.
