    Perlite,Grade

I try to buy the coarse or "chunky" perlite whenever I can. The reason for that is because then I get a wider variety of chunks. Perlite is very soft and breaks down as the bags get jumbled around in shipping, etc. So, the top of the bags always have the coarse stuff and then if I dig down to...

    Epsom salt?

Yeah, man. That is impressive! And I love it when I see grows that are kept clean and tidy! Lots of times, I see grows that aren't nearly as well-kept as yours is. I bet it smells fantastic in there!

    Maixibloom Discontinued?

Jack's 3-2-1 system (with CaNi) works great. Master Blend is also a great 2-part system.

    Request for a photoperiod section

I would like to request that there be a special section added that is dedicated to discussions about photoperiod marijuana, specifically. There already is a section for auto flowering plants, specifically. The purpose of having a specific photoperiod section would be the same purpose for having...

Gorilla Glue #4, Godzilla Glue #4, Cherry Bomb, and Lemon OG x Fire Alien Haze

Kinda both. Indica and Sativa are both photoperiod species so, when they are combined, they still grow the same way. Cannabis ruderalis is a completely different species of plant and it has a completely different way of growing and it's not potent. I can't find a good reason for using it...

Gorilla Glue #4, Godzilla Glue #4, Cherry Bomb, and Lemon OG x Fire Alien Haze

I'm always so happy to see threads that are about photoperiod plants. It didn't even used to be a thing to distinguish, but now, with all the auto flowering "stuff" around and all the pollen chucking happening, I fear that a lot of real (photoperiod) marijuana may disappear one day in the...

Do you have a mammoth mint 8 or HLG scorpion Diablo X? Post here!

I agree. Having multiple fixtures does make it a lot easier to dial in the lights. Your grow space seems to be very clean and well-kept. I always like to see that. A lot of growers are slobs and treat their grow space the way a teenager treats their bedroom. :) Happy growing!

    Bob Bitchen's buds

Yes, those Slymer phenos look very similar to he way my two phenos turned out. The terps are off the map! It was NOT fun to trim them, though!

    Under-canopy light on the cheap.

This almost seems like a universal thing to try.... I thought the same thing about adding extra lights to the sides and the under canopy....."couldn't hurt"....right? And, every time I tried it, it didn't hurt anything. In fact, it made it easier to see the plants. But, even with extra light...

What would you pick led or hps?

Have you ever tried to pick up a cat that has been sleeping in a bright sunbeam for awhile? They just melt! :) Anyway....yeah plants will grow under LEDs or HIDs just fine. I have no science to back it up. I'm just saying that, after growing for a long while, I believe that the plants "like"...

What would you pick led or hps?

Plants are pretty adaptable and will usually grow just fine under all kinds of light if the grower does a good job. I've used HID and I've used LED. I'll have to admit that I think the plants liked the directional-heat they were getting from the unshielded HID bulb(s). That's the thing that's...

Who has best blueberry strain? Not DJ Short's version.

Got some good smelling DJ Short's blueberry at a dispensary once....but when lit it up, it tasted like gunpowder! -not even kidding. And then recently, I was told that the DJ Short's blueberry might have contained some ruderalis genetics. I figure that's probably why it tasted like shit. I've...

    Is she ready my friends?

Depends on where on the plant the trichs were scoped. I used to harvest plants too early because I was scoping leaves and getting milk and amber, but the trichs on the bud material were clear.

    Generic Grove bags

My understanding is that this type of bag had, indeed, been used in the food packaging industry for quite awhile. I know I've bought packages of nuts and trail mixes and stuff like that and the packaging seems very similar -the idea being to make a material that blocks UV and allows for some...

What am I dealing with here?

One morning, I saw that a jumping spider (my favorite kind) had gotten himself stuck on one of my sticky traps for gnats. He was just on the edge and he looked pretty tired out from trying to get himself out of there. I took a Q-tip and a toothpick and carefully nudged him off of the trap and...

What am I dealing with here?

You bet! They eat all those other little nasty bugs and they have no interest in your plant whatsoever.

Should I mix happy frog an ocean forest for starting seeds?

Meh....I've mixed them together and added perlite, coco coire, worm castings. I never had any problem with it. Yeah it's kinda nute heavy (aka "hot"), but with the extra stuff to make it more open and airy, it's fine. I water to the point of excessive runoff every time....which depletes all the...
