How much or little do you think the US should intervene in foreign affairs?

we went wrong almost from the start. Washington fights a world war for 8 years, over a 3% tax on tea, and then imposes a 25% tax on whiskey, at the point of 13K muskets.

you must have gotten an "A" in False History. in Mexico, we were the foreign power, and they weren't our citizens any longer. the Spanish War was our first Imperial War, and led to the Philippine War, our first "Vietnam." WWI was the Fiat Currency War; WWII, the War to Readjust the Fiat Currency. Vietnam and Korea, just policing the hood, and everything else is Blood for Oil.
american settlers were INVITED to texas by the spanish govt

the mexican revolution resulted in mexico abridging the land grants of americans, and engaging in shenanigans

those settlers were still americans, and when they said, "hey bros, spain aint runninthis shit no more, so we wanna join back up with you" they did.

the spanish american war wasnt "imperial" it was anti-imperial!

spain was engaging in imperial dreams on our side of the atlantic, they were warned, yet they persisted, so thye got thier asses beat,
the US did not keep the territory they took from spain, as cuba and the phillippines became free independant nations in short order

ww1 was NOT a "fiat currency war" it was a clash of empires, and the US got drawn in when the germans stepped over the line.

ww2 was ww1 part 2, global conflict boogaloo, the inevitable result of not finishing the job properly, and weak kneed, limp wristed handling of the post war reconciliation.

history doesnt change just because post-modern revisionists re-write the facts in their gritty reboots.

You should see how hard he shifted on what he considers essential gov't spending.
orly?

i havent shifted.
you however have betrayed your "socialist" beliefs by promulgating pinching the poor for nickels while supporting wasteful spending, foolish boondoggles and transparent attempts to sabotage capitalism by transforming it into crony capitalist economic fascism

I don't know what most people think about WWII but for me it all hinged on one dirty little siege
in mountains of Burma. It is called the Battle of the Tennis Court. And a tennis court was the no man's land.

It ranks up there with Gates of Thermophile in significance. Had the British not held on, in this close quarter, horror show, Japan and Germany would have linked up with the Wealth in New Dehi and so long, USA. Or at least we would have paved Europe and much of India with hot glass. Only weather stopped us from nuking the factories along the Ruhr, as I understand it.

But, hardly anyone knows. It makes Bastogne seem like eating cherry pie on a sunny day.

And to me it ranks above the Greek Drama of the Persian War. This came down to a couple of guys bending time and space to get one small tank up the mountain side.

Greatest Story not yet told.

Now this is a classic kkkynes post complete with lies, mention of socialism and fascism and in the form of a word salad that makes no sense.

Bravo!

ib4 "Dem Jews"
I'm of the Tribe, ethnically at least. America knew of the death camps and did nothing. if that's what our intervention was about, wouldn't that have been noble. it was not. fleeing Jews were barred from the shores of America, to return to certain death.

so, im lying, cuz youre now NOT a "socialist" (in quotes cuz you dont know dick about socialism or the marxism it is part of) and you arent supporting wasteful government spending in the leftist re-imagining of "trickle down economics"?

i suppose i'm lying when i equate government support for particular corporations and industries through tax payer monies with Fascism's doctrines?

and if those phrases were what you consider "Word Salad" then chompsky has destroyed what little of your brain was still rational.

So you support welfare programs, but call them austerity. Thanks.

nations dont generally go to war because some dickhead decides to kill a bunch of people who arent even from the nation in question.

nations go to war over their interests, to display dominance, to take territory, in response to attack, or in defense of allies.

should we have gone to war with the ottomans over the armenian genocide?

should we have gone to war with (insert any african nation you choose) over their tribal genocides?

should we have gone to war with the soviets over their ukrainian genocide?

should we go to war (again) with north korea because kim jong un is a tubby little bobblehead who starves his people to death while he chills with dennis rodman and gets BJ's from french model/prostitutes?

shit, we would be at war with 60% of the planet if we must rush to the defense of every victim of injustice anywhere on the globe

Fascism is a form of capitalism, hence the privatization.

fascism is marxism, to the bone. pretending it is otherwise just makes you look stupid(er)

So you support welfare programs, but call them austerity. Thanks.
welfare programs are designed to prevent the sort of shit you see in third world nations, and socialist dictatorships, where starving beggars die in the gutter.

welfare programs ARE essential because we are better than that. (well "we" the US are, YOU are clearly not better than that...)

cutting welfare programs while wasting SIX MILLION DOLLARS A DAY on a vanity rail project is RETARDED, since all the welfare programs in california rolled together do not amount to half that number.

the cuts to social services, education, elder care programs, and indigent services were designed to INCREASE the pain of the poor masses, without cutting back on the big fat payments to govt contractors, and without reducing the profits of land speculators.
once the poor were sufficiently beaten down and desperate, they were offered a choice: More cuts, or a new eat the rich tax scheme to make california even more marxist.

it's lefty strongarm populism at it's worst, and you defend it.
