So I have no money being on social assistance. I cannot work until my psychiatric doctor clears me to go back to work. My friend is paying for my medication right now, because he has means and I am having a rough time.
How would you suggest a person like me find the money to start a grow? I was under the impression that 100's of dollars are needed, And I have none.
Your suggestions are welcome and your opinions are appreciated. Thank you.
Inginuity is the mother of invention. If you actually read my post instead of worried about all the name calling.....I've said before an easy cheap way to start up you can use fluorescent lights. Home Depot 24.99 for 2 48 inch T8 bulbs and ballast. Use a closet a premade grow box. Start small and work your way up. Peakseedsbc has affordable seeds

No, like I mentioned I'd do it again if I had to. Just saying if I have the option of having a license, which I do, for myself that's a much better option than not.

Yes I agree that if getting a license isn't an option(maybe one can't find a signing Dr. or etc) than yes do what you gotta do, but at the same time if one could get licensed than why put those things I mentioned at risk if you don't have to?

Hell my first grow was old lights from a high school gym buddy was giving them away on classifieds got 2 400watt....all it cost me was my time
In all honesty the amount of information I find in the grow sections is daunting to me. I need simple things, I tend to get obsessed with the details and won't start anything until I know exactly what will or could happen. Hence the dragging of my feet in regards to growing my own. Oh and all the mental breakdowns over the last few years haven't helped much either. Can't grow from the hospital.

My first grow was with a 400 watt hps under my stairs lol. I remember at the time it seemed like so much money i was spending on the "setup" lol. One ballast, bulb, hood, soil, grow bags, nutrients and timer. Had to break the bank lol.

Trust me man I know what it's like to struggle from finances to mental health... but honestly don't sweat the small things when growing.. as George Cervantes says if you don't have issues at some point your not growing..... also you can download George's book The horticultural's Bible for growing medical marijuana for free online good starting point

Dude just get at er. Reading can only help you so much, experience is everything with growing. No matter what you're going to hit some bumps on the road but those bumps are what will make you a better grower.

I've built up my growing over the last 15 years of scrounging and DIY after 30 years of dicking around with little piss-ant grows that taught me where to go to get better at it. I spent a lot of years busting my hump on the job too but can't deal with ice road rigors any more so scrape by on the pittance the gov't hands out.

I've spent maybe $100 on meds in the last 30 years so some might call you a sucker for blowing 5G in one year tax rebate or not.

Your passive/aggressive stance might impress some, but me, not so much.
Most people I know that use cannabis patients or not spend $1000's a year easy. It must be nice for you having to spend more on coffee then your meds
