I believe certain things, certainly common goods, belong in the public domain. The only way to be egalitarian towards common goods is to have everyone pitch in, or ideally a progressive system based on what people are able to contribute without being an unreasonable burden.

Citizens must provide oversight and that requires good information, enter a media that includes all relative facts instead of just the ones that fit their political narrative. Reversing citizens united, capping campaign contributions, and enacting campaign time limits would be a good first step.
