Wassup fellas, thank you for the likes! Definitely seeing some viewing activity for sure with this thread. Today marks 5 weeks and 2 days! Getting oh so frosty!!! We'll see how the trichomes are at 8 weeks.
I ran into a situation and I've been blaming myself for the longest until today. I'm NO expert but I do have knowledge in growing from past grows. Now that I'm back in the saddle, I know my advice is good. I apologize in advance to you all but I have to vent and validate this to set my mind at ease. I had given a cut i was vegging out earlier this year, to a good friend of mine who just began growing. I had to remove it due to a situation I ran into with the landlord.
He wanted to harvest at 7 weeks of flowering since he was following some online site that stated something about the strain will be ready at 48 days plus he wanted a "Sativa" high? I strongly advised him not to. I stated "Don't chop her due to the trichomes not showing the milkiness; it's a Sativa dominant hybrid and you'll get that no matter what with this strain if you're patience and wait. Don't believe everything you read online"... He quickly brushed my advice off his mind. He decided to chop at 56 days. The outcome was average. Trichome production wasn't great, thin airy buds and the high was mediocre. I wanted to give constructive criticism on the things I noticed that could've been better but the last time I did
... ... boy let's say I won't do that again. Guess we all have to learn on our own. Just trial and error.
Anyways, he pulled it and it was, what it was. Hopefully I am able to show a better representation of how AK47 is supposed to be. You can't rush quality in this hobby!

I grew this strain in the late 90s and it made me some serious (lol) cash.
I've been popping hundreds of Those old seeds the last two years with zero germ until recently when I got three fems.
Ill clone them until I find a male.
I'm interested in your grow because I've heard rumor he's got the genetics back in check.

Wassup Morgwar! Yeah many cold, seats are available haha many pass by but don't care to join. Holy smokes, back in the 90s, I remember always riding my huffy bmx bike always trying to do a wheelie; not knowing a dangerous, toxic drug known as marijuana was hiding in the bushes lol time flies by! That's fricking awesome! Make sure you let your 3 girls each marry a strong, raunchy, dank husband!

Not sure on the purge, I remember reading he lost the first male and had some autoflower issues back in 2001 but I can't confirm that either. I am seeing good reviews of it lately though, and I ran some a while back from him that turned out really good. I'm not sure if they're worth crossing with mine yet.
The original ak47 could hold its own with any of today's strains.

Old joey weed seeds from hemp depot are serious seeds original AK stock. They mention lower than ideal germ rates though which could be a worry. I'm tempted - AK was really great in the 90s for yields and potency. Seems to be one or the other these days

Mine was and (possibly is) a high potency cash crop, but hard to grow due to smell.
If I can just get a male to sprout ill have her back.
I bought my first pack in bc and ran sibling crosses of the nicest plants. For five years. No phenos when I quit, all grew the same.

What up Morgwar, I'm estimating about 6 to 7 months of veg? I'd like to say about the 4th months in, is when it showed the first white hairs. Then again, this was a feminized seed I had got online from AliBongo. The lady was first in a 3 gallon, trans to a 5 gallon and is now currently in a 15 gallon.
The smell was very strong, a skunk stank during veg but it's now a heavy, good green stink. Difficult to describe? Doesn't slap you in the face but it slowly strangles you.
Here's some updated pics of my Lady AK47!!! I had clipped 3 low strong stem with little to no growth and have placed them in a PH'd bottle of water. Hoping to see some roots in the next few weeks?!?

4 weeks veg before hairs are showing is a good sign in this case. 6 or 7 weeks without full flower is a great sign.
From looks, and your scent description this plants gonna rock your world.
I think I might pick some up.

Last night, after watering.
15 Gallons is fricking heavy FML, buds are so heavy, the entire plant literally bent over so bad I sh1tted my boxers. I wrapped up the stems with saran wrap and tied it to the back side of the fabric pot; just so it can stand straight. Need to figure how to remove the water from the bin, just so i don't have to kill myself lifting the dang thing. Still beautiful though

Evening all, here are a few shots of lady Serious AK47. BTW, over the few days the smell has changed to a very sweet stank? Not sure if that means anything?
Once the room door is opened; the entire house is filled with this sweeeeet stank. Shocked how it was stinky like a skunk and now it's sweet???
If anyone can chime in as why the smell is different please let me know.
