I’m torn on this... Pense is a bad actor and the theocrat in him worries me but he lacks the charisma Trump has... he’s boring- I think but am not sure he wouldn’t be the international embarrassment trump is cuz he wouldn’t be able to gin up the same wild shit-he’s a boring guy... would it be easier to to dismantle Trumpism with him at the helm? Or worse because he knows govt more and could be more effective w the Trumpism agenda by not making all the drama- I honestly don’t know...

Pence is boring but competent and he shares the same agenda.

I think I'm many ways he'd be even more dangerous.

All the more reason to flip both Houses of Congress this fall, and gain as many governorships as possible.

No. Criminalising cannabis and the War on Drugs (especially the users) was his idea, remember?

The last Republican president I have any respect for was Dwight D Eisenhower. He warned us about the military industrial complex- and he was right as rain.

I know and I don’t disagree...

On flipping the houses...that though there may be reason to pause- typically when the Congress flips the prez gets another term as he can use the bully pulpit to blame the opposite party’s control of Congress..

Now for oversight and impeachment I’d love to have Dems in both but if we can survive another two years the bigger win may be them holding it all but more narrowly so harder to accomplish much but still be in majority that way in 2020 much easier to convince folks dem house senate and whitehouse...

It's all and well and good to talk about. BUT, I just can't see how letting Republicans trample on civil rights in this country for another two more years would be chosen as the better course by those who would be most affected. If it were your sister who was threatened by deportation would you be so blithe about it?

If Democrats fail to take the House in the mid-terms, it would be a disaster for this country. Just saying, two more years of kleptocratic rule by Trump's GOP will do irreversible harm to the country and its people. Let's worry about 2020 when we get there.
