What is the name of the light you were going to get and I doubt they are actually 2000w what do they pull from the wall mine say they are 1000w but pull 245w from the wall but I knew that befor I bought it.

Thats what led are for, on a board of 300 led rated @ 10w a led chip you'll have a rated 3000w equivalent led light pulling abt 400w from the wall.
Same for inhouse led, they are rated eg 65W for your socket but will pull only let say 10w thats the reason they are as efficient and cheaper.

I run 3 different kind of led:
3000w KingPlus ( I would strongly recommend ) - single lamp for a 4x4
1000w bestva ( Second choice )
2x1200w kit Tolys ( Total Garbage )

I run all 3 bestva and tolys in a 3x3

That is nonsense. 100w is 100w.
It is true you need less with good led per square ft, but they arent that much better. No 400w led is equivalent to 3000w anything.

All garbage. Check out the led section here for some good recommendations

Yeah, they like to play with numbers a lot.

Look, if they put 1000 x 3 watt led's on a board, they are going to say it's a 3000 watt light. But if they only put 400 watts of driver on, then that is all the light will put out.

A typical LED driver is designed to put out a constant current, say 1500 ma. That driver is also spec'd to something like 48 volts. So if they pack as many 3w leds on that they can, it will only be about 72 watts of light output - ,max. It doesn't matter that they put 50 leds on it. It's still only 72 watts.

So why would they do that? Cost. The drivers to push those LED's to 150 watts would cost over $100 each, whereas the drivers to push the 72 watts are only about $10.

And a lot of those LED's are epistar's, which are only 1 watt and which is 10 year old tech. But they are cheap.

Do yourself a favor and buy a strip led kit from a reputable vendor. It will cost you about the same and be a much better light.

Dude I run all leds and I know that's not true a 300w led is no ware compared to a 3000w hps. They are more efficient in the way that they put out less heat then hps so you dont need aircon or exhause fans hooked up to each light and you don't have to replace bulbs so often. I will say if you can get the same wattage from the wall for example a 1000w led from the wall vs a 1000w hps from the wall I would take the led. And also I would get cobs if your going led.

I would get the 1500w sunshine cob grow light it's got 5x 50w cobs so 250w actual power draw. They are 96$ a light and are better then the koscheal 2000w

I have a cheap led from Amazon brand new that was given to me from my mom. The box and product description says 300w. Idk if it's 300w like it says or not, I'm not an electrician but what I do know is that it works just fine. My first time growing a plant until I can harvest it so I'm no veteran. If its any consolation I think you'll be okay with whatever you decide to get. Good thing about cheap lights and Amazon is you can return it all or exchange for something different if whatever you get isn't working out the way you want.

theyre absolute garbage. go ahead and buy them and then blabber on about how they did you right. make sure to post your actual fully cured bud weight after trimmed down to 2” buds or less and total wattage used.
thanks in advance

lol really? capt obvious reporting that a 300 watt equivalent blurple is nothing compared to 3000 watts of HPS. if you didnt know that you probably shouldnt be growing anything let alone trying to grow some crappy cannabis to pass off to 14yr olds who wanted carts instead. this is the problem nowadays, so much garbage weed around it gives people who actually care and put effort into growing a bad name

Dive in and take the plunge with some HLG's.. it's money well spent. 50,000 hours of no bulb changes, or problems. I have 18 of them, and Im on a fourth run with them with great results. The 550's are 1000w, and a true 485w draw.

Lol I'm just telling the guy who is saying that a 300w led is equivalent to a 3000w hps isn't you don't have to be an asshole.

But Yeah If it's a blurple it's probably garbage.

yup and they are as cheap price wise as the garbage blurples. much better to get a 135 to start and go from there than to get a blurple
to begin with

If you tell us the size of the room you want to light up we can try and point you in the right direction.

Its impossible to tell from the "2000w" claims, could be a 100w light, could be a 300w light.
Best to look at the fine print and don't rush into anything.

Has anyone use a LED light that doesn’t have a veg switch and a bloom switch? I got one and it says it’s for veg and bloom just keep the hours how you would 18/6veg and 12/12 for flower
