Spare (free) Durban Poisons up for grabs. Started 6 fem seeds in early April and finally decided which to keep, so I have 2 spares for anyone who can get safely to Corvallis to pick them up. Both are healthy and close to sexual maturity. I respect and support the Governor's measures and expect the same from interested parties. Let me know and we can arrange a meet with appropriate distancing.

I tried last year and think I tried to get in there and do it too late into flower. Got a lot of rough weather and sad plants towards the end there. Thede babies are looking nice though, I have a feeling they’re gonna take off! Still figuring out what technique I like best, but I’m starting to realize how and what is DEFINITELY strain-dependent. You see how that chem d is? (First 2 are the before and after of the chem d. ) My buddy grew it last year and it produced spears so he was telling me to strip it higher up...the rule of thumb I was using was 12-18in stripped from the top of the canopy but a few, like that chem d as well as the munson and one of the more thai dominant blue orca hazes I stripped higher...but then you see the red eye skunks...oh wow! didn’t wanna strip that up
high at all, she looks like she’s gonna be stacked fat all the way up! Such a wide array of things going on out here right now...

Just a shout out to the OP's of this thread - really appreciate Gray and others shares, seems like you come from similar space. Followed the '19 thread, and found help. Just a backyard PDX from-clone hobbiest here trying to do right - mindful of my inexperience. Last year great (despite taking them early) success with White Tahoe Cookies from Archive
IMG_20190927_074448.jpg
and this year chose Duct Tape and Hazmat OG, also from Archive
IMG_20200513_125446.jpg IMG_20200513_125443.jpg
- in Fox soil, cloth, and all Roots Organic feed. Really appreciate keeping it local and thankful for all the insight. Cheers to a good grow!

I was at the Fred Meyers in Orchards WA on 117th. They had pallets of Black Gold soil in the parking lot by the garden center for $199. I think there's 40 - 50 bags on a pallet.

Well, all has been going well for my 4 plants this year so far. Been having fun experimenting with super cropping and tying down my seed plant this year. Normally I always run clones but I had a few seeds and only one sprouted. I've topped each plant only once up to this point. I've managed to create a very even canopy on steve (the seed start) the others im just letting do their thing. 2 are in the ground in my mom's garden that I care for, the others are in 10 gallon smart pots at my place. I spent yesterday surrounding both gardens with straw which I hope will help with water retention and the ground not getting sun baked. It looks a lot better to the eyes as well. The weather has been pretty decent here in portland. Rain as of lately but I'm ok with that due to having to hand water constantly otherwise. 20200607_141029.jpg20200607_142626.jpg20200607_151514.jpg20200607_141013.jpg20200607_141022.jpg

Looking good. You better keep an eye on that horseradish though or it could be popping up in the bed with your cannabis in no time. It's probably already creeping under that fence into your neighbors yard. :bigjoint:

It's a constant battle with that stuff. I always have a shovel handy to dig up the new shoots that pop up. My mom makes incredible fresh horseradish sauce for the holidays, otherwise it would be gone by now. That stuff has been in there for years. I keep it in check pretty well.

I planted some in the wrong place. I've since moved it way back in the corner of the yard. But I still have it popping up all over my garden.

Have a G13 Skunk and BC Gold that I started from seed in March. I put them outdoors in mid April and was a little afraid they would start flowering but they both didn’t even show preflowers until this week. The G13 Skunk is going to be a big girl. I topped it several times and am training it through the cage. This is my second outdoor grow I started from a stunted clone and started much later last year.

A couple plants I'm growing outside. I started them outside but then we had those cold nights and overcast skies so they didn't do much and just sat there after popping out of the soil so I moved them inside under the T5's and they started growing. Now that we have some decent weather coming up there outside for the duration. I'll move them in the greenhouse if we get some serious of rain.

One is an auto White Widow + Big Bud that was a freebie from Seedsman. I figured a late planting was a perfect use for an auto. I've only grown one other auto before. The other is from seeds I made from male and female Sensi Ruderalis Indica. That one is from regular seeds so I'm hoping for a female. I'm growing it for the lady because of it's higher CBD content and low THC. She doesn't like the stuff I grow as it's way too strong for her.

They're in soil I mixed myself that cooked in bags in the greenhouse for a couple months. All recycled organic soil that I replenished with amendments. They seem to like it so far. I ran out of soil which is why the one on the right is so low. I'll top dress them later.

Not much to look at right now. How much do you think I'll get? Maybe a pound? :bigjoint:

It's definitely been a fun year so far!.... But my Malawi Gold is rocking, collected some male auto pollen and my first run female autos are looking good so no big complaints. Oh and getting compost sifted for teas and top dress, and harvesting worms to add to indoor bins!

Nice to see everyone doing well this season.

I wasn't going to grow this year (long story), but well into June it turned out I need to, so it's a really really late start for me. I've got a bunch of Auto seeds since I was going all-auto for my outdoors, so that's what I'm still going with. On June 11th I started six expecting four to pop (some are older), but they all popped so they are all in the ground now. This week's weather is kind of disappointing temperature-wise, I hope it warms up soon so these have a chance of finishing by mid-September. In the past I've had some autos outdoors take as long as 8-10 weeks to finish, I think the cooler weather -- even just a long stretch of cold nights -- slows down their internal clock.

Without the bug netting, I'd probably lose about half the crop to worms. I don't know how much bud mass I'm losing to the light loss, netting probably cuts about 20% of the sunlight, but it's worth it for the ease of harvesting and trimming worm-free buds.

I'll connect these to the drip lines in the garden, then it's a pretty easy grow -- one topping, maybe two trimmings, and one feeding halfway through. It's mostly up to the weather now.

Happy growing!

been a wet season so far, hopefully we’ll clear up and see some dry, sunny days for a while. Setup’s looking good, man. What autos are you running?

Watch, 7lb’ers! No but if one of those are autos, you’re right...perfect time to put em out in that size pot. No reason to go any bigger. The reg may take off tho! I’ve been diggin the malted barley w/ ful power and worm casting topdressings! Seems like the ladies really love it. Did a topdress of worm castings and added guano wks 5-7 along w the barley. No issues with pm or bugs whatsoever, minus the occasional fungus gnat. Wondering if the barley had anything to do with it...anyway, lookin good!

I'm not expecting much. The auto is starting to flower. It's about 15". It's only supposed to get at most 3 feet. It's only the 2nd auto I've ever grown in my life. I guess it's doing OK. Looks a little spindly to me and they both stretched awhile back when we had those 90° days. I haven't fed them anything yet they're just in soil I mixed myself and sitting in the back of the yard. But they're right in the path of the sun when it comes up in the morning until late afternoon so they get plenty of light.

I don't want to grow tree's as I sometimes have company that I don't want knowing I use cannabis. So I need smaller plants I can hide in the shed if I have to. People always want to look at my vegetable garden so they would see the pot plants. Plus I don't want my neighbors smelling pot. I live in a neighborhood with children next door and a police officer across the street a couple houses down. It might be legal to grow but I'd rather my neighbors didn't know anything about it.

It's been wet, and the nights have been pretty cold. These girls started well in a warm garage under a good light, I'm wondering if I should have left them there longer.

Setup’s looking good, man.
Thanks, the only addition will be clear plastic over the netting after buds start if it looks like it's going to be another rainy summer. Just covering the top should be good enough, I'll let them breath on the sides.

What autos are you running?
All Mephisto; Walter White, Skylar White, Cosmic Queen, (2) Double Grape, and Forgotten Cookies. The two Double Grape seeds and early growth looked very different, so I'm expecting varied pheno's with those. I've had pretty good luck with Mephistos, the buds are not very dense but they are frosty, potent, and they taste/smell good.

For me, autos make a lot of sense outdoors. The only drawback has been the HUGE range in actual production -- I've had a plant produce as little as a half ounce, while others are more respectable (for an auto) 4-5 ounces. If I'm going to stay within the 4 plant limit, that becomes a roll of the dice in terms of final weight. Get stuck with one or two low producers and it can really throw the season off.

Those walter whites are awesome. Had a buddy pull 6oz out of a 5gallon pot using supersoil a few years ago. Super frosty and stoney.

What a difference a week can make. I'm not impressed with the auto White Widow + Big Bud but my 2nd generation Ruderalis Indica is growing like crazy. It's eclipsed the auto that was much bigger a week ago. I sure hope it's a female but if not I'll collect the pollen and put it in the freezer.

I know if I hadn't left the auto outside for as long as I did when it was cloudy and cold it would be much bigger. I should have started it inside under the T5's but I wanted to do an all outside grow. I might start another one and see what it does starting out in nicer weather. I can stick it in the greenhouse if things get bad before it finishes.
