Just a little goes a long ways
When I pollinate a plant I do it in the bath tub so I can rinse it off and kill all the pollen after about 8 hours
The Pollen will have done its job by then

You may well find a cotton bud more effective, store your pollen in the freezer, and spray your self ,
the room and the plant with a fine water mist once done,
BUT: I do leave the plants to rest before spraying the plants with water post copulation about 45mins

you need only paint once if the pollen is good, and takes about 30mins for the action to complete

biggest mistake a noob can make is underestimating the pollen strength or range

you will see the seeds build up under the pistols over the next few weeks

good luck

When I'm making seeds I usually pollinate twice about a week apart. I remove the plant to be pollinated right before lights off. Take it to a seperate room, pollinate it, and then put it in a dark closet and let it continue it's night cycle. Then before the next light cycle I mist it with water and put it back in the flower tent. I repeat that process a week later when there are new pistils.
