It's always interesting to see how each grower runs his setup. Good on you for going big bro

Did you end up getting a harvest from the run you started back in mid November ? bongsmilie

No I didn’t want to wait for a recovery, knowing now I should of let them recover. I have some various clones from all starts and stops over the past couple months. Currently there are 5 blue power bx2’s and my single pre98 cut. I lost my cuts from the November start.

I’m basically going to flower these out sooner then later, my last harvest was 6 months ago and I have already gone threw a couple pounds. Going to need more smoke.

the fact that you see that stuff on your roots AND your pH is dropping can't be a coincidence ( i think).
I have seen this form before gff, but it will crash my ph every time, res change won’t fix it, really hoping gff does something otherwise I’m going to have to shock the system soon.

i don't think you can overdose the GFF.

no pinhole light leaks or anything like that? clear tubing instead of black etc??

I hope this lot brings the baggies mate. 6 months is a long time between. You'll get it nailed I'm sure. Your set up has huge potential :weed:

I'm subbed in for the ride.

I thought about this, my pvc is white and my light easily penetrates it. The return lines flow slow compared to the feed line. I know it does because the res sits on the other side of the wall and the pipes glow in the dark.

I skirted the net pots as you can see and corrected where the pipes feed the waterfall as there was a leak front the side lighting... I can’t see any other sources of leaks right now. No tubing or air pumps in the system that are on, tubing is black or dark blue.

maybe try that krylon paint that sticks to plastic and paint them black?

maybe an air pump sucking in crap?

just kinda grasping at straws: seems like you crossed your t's and dotted your i's.

What gets me is the first run on this setup, no shock no bennies no problems, got bored, top ups and 4 res changes in 4 months. This time is just fucked. Fucked to the point I’m pricing out coco because I’m getting too old for this shit.

Watch what happens, I expect a strong finish regardless, im pretty stubborn.

Black paints a good idea, I was thinking hvac tape actually.

Air pumps/waterfalls were a problem, ran one pump and waterfall in my main res, cost me my winter grow, built room in garage, parked 2 cars in garage, didn’t put cars in garage last run. That alone took me 2 months to figure out.

That was my original problem in November and I fought 2 months before figuring it out. It wasn’t even the old lady’s car, it was my truck with no cat converters lmao, like wtf man... I see it all now, my promix grows didn’t care...

I have grown in the garage many times, if I run my truck in here before I open the door, my plants will curl. It’s good now.. I quit parking in here, venting the garage 500cfm outdoors now and threw my air pumps in the bin. Pissed.. it’s been a couple weeks now and I’m down to this ph crash now.

Gave the res another 10 of gff, will see how it is after the weekend. Thanks for the chat @rkymtnman, water has a bit of cloud to it, will see what happens, let me know how that bubba kush finishes up, if I remember right you had one really close.

No change in ph crash today, notice a bit of foam deposits today, some clumping of something gff colour, no noticeable changes anywhere I can see. I’m dropping a point every couple hours, not really feeling this. Will prob prepare for a new course of action today, tomorrow I will have to rectify the crash if there’s no improvement. Plants look fine and are eating anyways.

@rkymtnman, I didn’t bother waiting any longer. After dumping ph up all day I finally said fuck it and put 20ml 29% h2o2. Shits stable, roots are clean, I don’t even know if it was 20ml... it was a “bloop”..

Plan is to rinse and repeat as necessary moving forward. Im even questioning my water source as that is new this time, used commercial ro last time, my ppm is lower but they had a uv filter.

Yeah it seems to be the only option, shock wont clear it, that’s fine as long as it works, really low dose compared to last time. Ph didn’t move overnight and everything looks good still, dropped ec so I could prob even raise feed a few.

maybe a submersible UV bulb too? i think they arent' too pricy. added to the peroxide regimen.
I was looking at inline filters, affordable ones stop at 12gpm, my waterfall pump is rated for 30. If a 100 gallon aquarium one stuck in my res would benefit, I would grab one to try out, they are cheap.

I could grab the higher Inline unit and just run a waterfall threw it to circulate... will see how much more dicking around this wants to do.

what if you took a gallon of your res water now and ran it thru some white coffee filters?? maybe you'll be able to see what it is floating around?? give you abetter idea of what you are fighting?

i'd say try just about anything.

Somethings still collecting at the water level, I would say it’s super compact foam, gff foam. Waters has particular matter in it since the gff was added. I have 100gal of new RO on standby, just not feeling a res change as I just did it 3 days ago.

Will see how the day goes, I would like to do a res change and spray the roots off, hit it with peroxide and fnb, leave out the silica this time, used a bit in fresh ro for ph up. I been using a bit of calmag because I’m only running fnb at .6 ec, shits potent.
