Veg Day 30

Repotted from 1 gallon pot to 10 gallon fabric bags after noticing roots coming through the bottom of my pots.

Introduced Far Red Sleep initiator light and UV light.

Sleep initiator comes on 15 minutes before lights out, and stays on for 15 minutes after lights out. And again 15 minutes before lights on, and 15 minutes after lights on. (Total 2x 30mins per day)

UV light will not be used until I switch to flower.

Yellowing on the leaves becomes obvious. After reaching out on RIU I learnt I had a calcium deficiency. I purchased some CalMag and gave 0.5ml per litre of water.

First sign of a few Fungus Gnats. I had them in my last grow so I was quick to apply an Organic Neem Oil foliar spray, as well as a Neem Oil soil treatment.

Fed plants Veg nutes at 3/4 strength.

Veg day 31

Began training, by topping my plants and using LST to keep my height low. I also had plans to scrog, so this training method worked for me. I used pipe cleaners and tied them to my fabric pots.

I gave another round of Neem Treatment.

Veg Day 39

Fed plants Veg nutes at Full strength.

Continued LST using more pipe cleaners to hold down and spread out growth sites, and performed a 2nd topping. I topped roughly 5 tips on the two biggest plants, while not topping the 2 smaller ones at all. This helped slow growth of the taller plants so the shorter ones could catch up to an even height.

Veg Day 46

Fed Veg nutes at full strength. Also gave some Molasses and CalMag. I have invested in a PPM meter at this point, and have stepped up my nutes to 850ppm. The Plants are taking it well.

Today I also built a pvc frame scrog net. You will see how I improved this over the coming weeks to include a 2nd layer for support of colas once they get heavy.

I also had a new larger tent turn up. My last tent was looking outgrown and I was fed up with working in such tight spaces.

I then installed the scrog net, and started tucking and weaving my plants, so to effectively scrog and keep light exposure to a maximum and height at a minimum.

Flower Day 5

Fed only CalMag and Molasses. The plants looked overfed to me. I just felt the need to go easy this week and after a couple of days the plants looked much more vigorous and happy. Just a gut feeling which seemed to pay off.

The past week I have been tucking the new growth and separating heads into their own squares. The scrog net is very effective and I am pleased with the quality and practicality of it.

Flower Day 8

Now I'm in cruise control. I have finished with training, and I'm happy with my relatively even canopy.

I added another layer to my scrog system too, which came out great. The whole scrog net cost about $90.00 nzd or $60usd (9 meters pvc pipe, various joiner fittings, and good quality uv resistant shock cord and brass fittings). It will last me years and can be flat packed easily. Well worth the time and money.

Next feed will be 1/2 Veg nutes and 1/2 Flower nutes, but I will reduce PPM to 700 to help the plants adjust.

Pistils have been showing for the past week but now they are really coming out. Pic N5 shows a few.

What’s your temps and humidity right now I’m growing the same strain as you
Temps been about 22°c during the day and 20°c at night. My lights are off during the day when its warmer and on at night when its cooler.

Humidity sits around 60 still, but I'll be putting a dehumidifier in the room as soon as I see buds forming to reduce it to 45/50..

Any pics of your plants?

Do you get good growth that cold with those leds ?
Hard to say. I have 4 grows under my belt. 2 of these resulted in being arrested by the popo. 1 grow hermied and seeded out. 1 grow was successful but my harvest was 2 ounces off of two plants. I'm just not experienced enough to know if these lights are providing adequate conditions...

Are you suggesting my temps should be higher? I know I'm within the range they need but I havent read anything yet that says higher temps are needed when using LED lights?

Sitting here vaping some Gelato OG I grew from cuttings. Fun to grow. Productive. Tasty too. This strain is a Seedsman exclusive apparently.

My tent temperatures run 78-81 F. I just got an Inkbird humidistat and hooked up the cool mist. Set the Inkbird by VPD chart. Closed the tent.
