Substitute for Gaia Green?

Guys does anyone have a purchase point for Gaia Green products here in the US? I've been searching but I can't find anyone. I'm not opposed to making the mix myself but it would be more cost effective if I could get an all in one organic product to feed my ladies. Does anyone have info for buying from this company? Even if you don't I would also appreciate any American company that mimics their makeup. I would prefer to buy American but with the legal climate it's difficult. Any wisdom is greatly appreciated.

Gaia Green is pretty hard to come by in the US. You can get it on Amazon but shipping is as much or more than the product. I use Dr. Earth dry amendments and love it. Premium Gold 4-4-4 for vegging and Flower Girl 3-9-4 for flower. I’ve heard great things about Down to Earth also.

Not sure what kind of scale you are growing on, but I like being able to build and then maintain my soils from the beginning with individual amendments. I know it's not as feasible to do on a larger scale, but being able to work with the individual amendments just adds to the joy of growing for me making it more so my own unique environment. There seems to be an endless way of going about things to achieve the same result of a successful grow. From specific amendments added/top dressed to the soil to ferments to teas, it's all about putting those nutrients into the soil and then letting the microbes handle the rest for us. The compost/micro life in the soil is what will turn whatever method/amendment we add into something useful for the plant.

That said, I have bought down to earth individual amendments before and have been happy with them. Not really familiar with any of the other brands/blends mentioned, but I'm sure they will all steer you down the same path of success as long as everything is healthy and thriving in the soil. I like to think this whole organic is hard to go wrong as long as things are done without abusing any one specific thing.

Sorry not much useful info in there, just my two cents on the matter and a little rant for the day. Wish you all success with the grows though.

Don't feel bad worrying about that stuff dude, there are all kinds of great dry all in ones in the USA. Or maybe all in twos because lots of companies make a separate veg and bloom mix.

Happy Frog "All Purpose" for veg and "Fruit and Flower"for bloom

Roots Organics "Uprising" has a Grow and a Bloom recipe

Dr Earth has a few different NPK formulas and is available at Home Depot and Lowe's

Espoma stuff is not weed specific and cheap and easy to find

Down to Earth sells all kinds of individual organic amendments and blends like Vegatable Garden 4-4-4 and Rose and Flower Mix 4-8-4

There's some other companies like Earth Dust, Geoflora and KIS Organics that I don't know anything about.

Thanks for the input. I'm not doing anything major. Just enough for me and some close friends. With that being said space is at a premium. I would prefer to go with the individual amendments but where I am the grow stores are brutal. I haven't check nurseries. Just wanted a more straight forward way. I think I'm going to try Dr. Earth seeing as it was the most recommended product. Thanks for your input bro.

After checking the list Roots Organic seems like a winner to me. I'm pricing RO and Dr. Earth rn. Have you had any experience with either of these lines?

Can you give the nute schedule your using for Dr. Earth's line?

I used a bag of Dr Earth Flower Girl last year. It did just fine.

Right now I'm irrationally obsessed with Soybean Meal as an amendment because of some of the micronutrients it's got. I switched to Roots specifically because it contained some soybean meal. I thinks it's great, but I might be a little biased.

Anyway, fertilizer is important but for organic grows you need to keep your microbes kicking so Compost or Earthworm Castings are important too. You'll want to have something handy to top dress or make tea every few weeks.

Also, lots of guys who mention Gia Green are trying to grow in coco and having lots of problems. I don't know if this applies to you, but personally I would Not use coco choir for this style of grow.

I use Jobes organic 4-4-4 and 2-5-3. Check out my journal. You can get them at Lowe’s and probably anywhere else

Yeah. I do things a bit different since I like to reuse my soil each time so I mix up two separate batches of soil. One for veg and one for early flower. I let each batch “cook” for 2-4 weeks before use.

The veg batch gets 2tbs per gallon of the Premium Gold and EWC.

The early flower batch also gets EWC and 2tbs per gallon but I do a 50/50 blend of Premium Gold and Flower Girl for this batch. After about 4 weeks of flower I’ll top dress with 3tbs/gallon of just Flower Girl and EWC.

I start my clones in 1g pots for veg and then transplant them into 7g pots with the early flower soil mix for flowering. If I’m starting from seed, I’ll do a lighter mix with about 1tbs of Premium Gold per gallon in the small starter pots and then transplant them over to the 1g.

Thanks for the advice. I was going to try mix coco and soil, guessing this may not be the best idea? I have a promix bale my buddy sourced so I’ll just use the soil.
I intend on using earthworm castings. Any brand that you guys prefer?
What are you making the teas from? Did you use terp tea or ewc?

Solid! Yeah they do have them at my local Lowe’s. I saw it just was skeptical if it would work. I have to remember cannabis is still a plant after all.

I also use Epsom salt for Mag and jobes bone meal. Bone meal gives you more P and Cal. Earth worm castings as well. You may not need all this stuff but without the bone meal and Epsom I get mag and cal def every time.

Thanks for that. Super simple set up. I’m used to bottle nutrients with ml/ppm all that jazz. The way you described pretty much has you watering and walking away.

Thanks. Adding some of that to the list of supplies. I don’t have an RO system but I heard there’s something in the water that’ll negatively effect the microbes in the soil or something like that. What do you do to avoid this? Is it a problem at all?
