Judge Napolitano on the second amendment

Pretty good essay. The proglodytes won't like it.

"The right of the people to keep and bear arms is an extension of the natural right to self-defense and a hallmark of personal sovereignty. It is specifically insulated from governmental interference by the Constitution and has historically been the linchpin of resistance to tyranny. And yet, the progressives in both political parties stand ready to use the coercive power of the government to interfere with the exercise of that right by law-abiding persons because of the gross abuse of that right by some crazies in our midst."

Liked, added to rep, 5 starred.

Judge Nap 2016!

I like Napolitano. I don't always agree with him (he was adamant that the terrorists should have been tried in a civil court in NYC) but I interpret him as a strict constitutionalist. I'm not familiar with him saying the constitution was unconstitutional. When was this?
Only super smart liberals could hear it. Sort of like a dog whistle.

This is from Judge facebook page this morning

Buck will defer to the international scientific community for a concensus then respond with an opinion

Your defense against government tyranny does not lie in the 2nd amendment but rather in the others.

Unless you can show me how you might possibly guarantee your right to a speedy public trial by a panel of your peers - with a fire arm.

How do you retain the others without it?

the rights come from "the creator", not a gun.

forget how to read english down there?

life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (property) are those endowed, not a speedy trial.

Thankfully the founders had the foresight to allow us the tools and means to defend those rights. I used to wonder why the left hated the constitution but I guess it's because they don't understand it?
