The Universe

I think aliens would be more life plants, consuming energy through celestial sources. Why throw a t-rex on the barby? The sun is so close, the could probably just get a good breath of energy from there. Like imagine the creatures that are described as angels in the bible. Celestial beasts made of light, that our minds can't comprehend. They don't need to eat protein, they just vampire of the nearest star and fly on through the universe. Or something like that. Because I'm sure the rest of the universe is at least as evolved and non violent as plants.

smoke some more meth findo

Seems simply, but do you really think aliens would understand soundwaves as anything but a threat. Like if you talked to a bear, it would just be confused. Humans are the ONLY creatures that use language, so a "language translator" is useless outside the planet earth, and really even outside humanity.

Have you not ever heard your dog communicate with another one via barking?

Language comes in many forms, humans are not they only species to use it.

It all depends. Are they scientists similar to our astronauts? Or are they finding earth by chance? An alien arriving here on a planned mission, if it was a friendly one, would probably be somewhat similar to us in enough ways that the communication would be already figured out by them.
I honestly think the first ET we will come in contact with will be a celestial whale, and we are just a celestial krill. I also have a theory that their open mouths are what we call "black holes"

ostrich milk will flow.

Ya'll are stupid to respond to PissBaggy. He'd argue to the death that the world is flat if he thought it would increase his google search rating. You are all just playing his game.

Fin, your assuming these aliens are more like plants or animal than human. If they travel thru space and land here ....wouldnt that make them more of a thinking species, like humans? Able to reason and think logically.....a plant isnt landing any ship here!

Tossing a T-Rex on the barby was in response to your suggestion that if an alien life form which is
technologically advanced enough for space travel would see some dinosaurs and leave a
(probably new, unexplored) planet because they couldn't collectively figure out a way
to tame the beast.

okay, I just attempted to catch up on this thread and it has left me drawing but one conclusion.

Who in the hell is allowing this person internet access and will they take a bribe to turn it off...lol

Man,... Finshaggy, you are without a doubt....a deeply perplexing individual, whom has a serious issue with basic common sense. But I applaud your tenacity

Peace

No, I am assuming that aliens would communicate on a more universal level. Pleants, Animals, and even Cells communicate with electro-chemicals signals. Your brain works by communicating that way. So I'm not saying that they wouldn't be a thinking species, I'm saying their language will be more emotion, alkaloid, pheromone, or physical based.

I never said they left due to lack of ability to tame the beasts, I just believe they would have left the cold blooded killers alone to live their lives. As they are doing to the humans now.

Why do birds chirp, why do wolves howel, shit why do prairie dogs bark ... Your truely not that smart it would appear.

you think if aliens have a means to reach us and we don't even know they exist that we couldn't overcome a language barrier, haven't you seen close encounters of a third kind? Fuck man

Those are tones, not words or language. When I whimper you know I am weak, when I growl you know I am ferocious. That is tone, not body language or language. And it was covered in the original post.

Why do your aliens have to be like our plants or bears? I think a more intelligent alien more equivalent to humans would be the ones we would be trying to communicate with. A bear isn't going to have the desire to communicate with another species, but we do.

A bear DOES desire to communicate with another species, the other species (us) just does not have the means to communicate with it.
