Curious how many people have had success mixing their own synthetic nutrients? I've used GH flora trio, Fox Farm (in soil), and AN Sensi combo and all seem to have deficiencies in some way or another. Would love to be able to dial in a custom feed chart dependent on the plant needs but it's...
Yes the exact same genetic seeds one in soil one in hydro. It was pretty cool seeing the differences but I agree with the clones. That would be a better constant than two seeds. Hope they crush it, I'm predicting you may not want to go back to soil after
My first hydro grow was a RDWC system with 2 plants (White Widow and Sour Diesel). I had the same two seeds in soil at the exact same time and the hydro blew it out of the water. Plants were way bigger, grew faster, and bigger yield. The soil did take the cup for the better flavor/smell tho so...
That does not look good... its probably to early to determine if its root rot, it could just be the nutrient solution. Sounds like this has been a problem before so may want to consider running a sterile res? I just posted some info on this a few days ago if your interested...
This is just my personal experience and what I've found works for me. Have you tried calcium hypochlorite as opposed to sodium? Plants can use the excess calcium whereas high levels of sodium tends to do more damage than good
I've never used canna personally but heard it's amazing. What material is your res? A lot of non- food grade plastics can retain unused chemicals from nutrient solutions so that may be the cause of the smell? I'd recommend cleaning your res with a bleach solution and letting it dry completely...
Nice I found a liter on Amazon for $20 so I'll give it a go and see how I like it. Simplicity is a huge factor so I'm always down to try new things. I appreciate the recommendation
Sharing my personal experience trial/lots of error regarding maintaining a sterile res. Previously ran multiple hydroponic systems and currently flowering in aeroponics. I've tried pretty much everything from bennies to bleach and learned what to do and not to do when it comes to keeping your...
