  • lmao, yeah same here. Shit is so interesting to me, I think it's weird how people would find it boring... people are fuckin' stupid.. that's for sure..
1984 is classic. I want to read Albert Brooks 2030. Its like his attempt at making an Orwell-esque prediction.
Im glad you mentioned philosophy, because Im a big believer in reading philosophy, if you can comprehend and interpret the vast vocabulary and insanely complex sentence structure that some of those bastards felt compelled to use. I spent a semester, maybe it was a year, as a philosophy major in school, and I learned more in those classes than I have in the other 5 1/2 years of school combined. It was the only schedule of classes I could attend baked outta my mind and do BETTER. Check out the Stanford Philosophy Encyclopedia online. I used to LIVE on here when I had papers or exams coming up. Its amazing.

Billions and BillionsCosmos are two books I credit with sparking my interest in science, along with the one I listed in the thread A Short History of Nearly Everything.

Also, if you like the information or topics included in the books I mentioned, go digging in philosophy, the quality by some of the ancient philosophers is endless! Compounded by the fact they were thinking this shit up THOUSANDS of years ago! Stuff like that blows my mind!

Another good one is 1984, totally applicable to today. and
