The uvb is for increased resin/thc production.

Infrared is what you use to put the plants to sleep, so they switch to flowering faster than they normally would in the dark. This means more of the dark period is spent on flower production.

Those bulbs are also called heat lamps.

The turtle bulb was one of them probably.

The thing is, you want one that is colored red, so that it doesn't give off as much of the light which switches them out of flower, - actually, this is the normal red.

But the normal red is also what drives the flower production, the plant stores the energy from the red to use it at night. With the IR bulb, you can even extend the daytime, so that more energy is taken in, and is more efficiently used at night. 14/10 is no problem. I'm willing to bet that 16/8 even works... Which is the ratio which triggers plants outdoors to flower.

And all you need is less than 10 minutes of the IR to have it work.

    Peace!
    Yeah sure man,
    uhm,

the turtle one is a combo with an infrared heatlamp, so eh.

And then there should be two other bulbs.

The brand is exo-terra I think?

they have uvb 5 and 10. The ten is more uvb. Orange box. good to go.
