Cob Curing

but food grade plastic like this bag is very good keeping the moisture inside the buds, and it doesn't modify flavors
Yea, it's okay. It's better than investing in corn husk. I guess "Baggies™" are food grade too. I'll try them, but, the corn husk ones I have brewing for 30-days are stemless buds. Pure flower. I wanted to see if I could melt the mass into more of a hash-roll and cleaner cleavage.
I just read where testing facilities are finding that terpenes are a solvent and will dissolve the seal on Mason/Ball jars. The new Ball jars have a "super seal" composite on that loose lid, so maybe Ball got hip to it. They're making amber Ball jars now.

That's how the fermented Mextiza looks. I cut the brick in quarters and now it is very easy to shred with the fingers, and take pieces into the grinder. Now it is hard, some pieces look like wood, and must be grind properly.

I couldn't resist the temptation and I started smoking it. It burns fantastically well, and when left over the desk it doesn't take humidity from the air like normal unpressed bud. It looks like a piece of wood and its smoke is dense and aromatic. Increased material hardness causes a better grinding, and thanks to good grinding, it burns in a very regular, slow way. It tastes good for just a couple of weeks of curing, but it would become better in days to come if I wasn't smoking it already.

I love fermenting sativas. I don't think this one will last enough to make any comparison over time, but I understand that what I love, others can hate. Smell has nothing to do with mainstream bud smell.

This is the Angola Senegal. This cob is made with two plants I harvested 10 days ago, and they have spent last week inside the plastic bag under the pressure of the rope. This roll weights 150g fresh, but now that it started to dry it will shrink till 60-70 grams. I will try to get a slow drying not shredding it.
