Grown in this
37937974-3B80-4CFB-B6F9-31D141BEA422.jpeg
Eco earth 2 of the 3 packs for like 14 dollars at my local petco
Used for reptile bedding but fuck it
It says coco lol
Barely buffed. Just added 5.8 ph 250ppms cal mag and let it swell up.
The brown water disappeared after a few waterings

Nutes used so far

I’ve used such a small amount of the Maxibloom so far I could take that out tbh
Magnesium salt is an underrated nute
Idk if the myco is doing anything in the coco but I’m using it. Compared to the others I’ve grown in coco without it. Big difference.

Now for the baby.. she’s been through a little bit.. I just got out of a relationship a few weeks ago.. my ex had to care for the plant for about a week.(I made sure all she had to do was scoop up the nute water and give it 2 gals every 2 days) I’ve had them back now for almost two weeks.
I knew from the transplant, she was going to be a solid plant but damn...
38 days and she’s accomplished a fuck ton.
She’ll probably outgrow my shit.
Who knows.. I’ll update as time goes:eyesmoke:

This is two days later 9-15 68260C5D-DA00-4B54-A9FB-12FF92EBC630.jpeg
I haven’t taken anymore fan leaves off since.
Just continuing to hold down the branches to even that canopy out.

Had to strip her down a bit tonight.

She’ll be upset the next few days
It was for the best.
She should be going into flower here soon. I’m hoping she doesn’t grow too much more vertically.
We’ll see.

Day 48
Put the trellis on her
Thinking about doing another light round of defol and taking the rest of the bottom growth out.
I’ll probably wait a few days and see how she grows in the net.

(Day 51 from sprout)
No problems at all
Thriving on calimagic & Maxibloom as of now
Between 2.2-2.5 ec (1100-1300 ppm)
I don’t think she’s done stretching.
Not good because I only have 2-3 inches of workable light space.
If it comes down to it, I’ll end up super cropping.
Maybe she’ll slow down but I don’t think that’s going to happen.
It’ll be okay no matter what she does.
Back to watering every 2 days. (For now)
I think the dry periods are working well for me right now. (Minimal perlite)

I had a different strain growing in the back that I’ve now put in another tent.
She now has all the space!
Feeding Mag sulfate, Calimagic & Maxibloom only
Keeping the ph around 6.0-6.2
Lowered E.C to around 1.4-1.7 / PPMs @ 700-850
Still watering every other day (for now) C239ECB6-4640-496A-82AD-9F97FC7929A4.jpeg0DAA0E4F-B215-427A-BC39-4CF02DF797B2.jpeg611F3D94-F350-4325-8152-A02150F929D3.jpeg9C003161-E6BD-47C3-B4C3-C434300BB1EB.jpegB4CAB9BB-C5CD-4660-A81A-1DE08805A6E9.jpeg

Woah!:o, well I can only hope this one doesn’t go 7 months.. I barely have the room as it is, let alone my patience!
Nah - was about 9 weeks flowering for me outdoors. Probably the same for you I’d imagine.

Plant smelt great and high was awesome - good mind and body buzz.

Ok, yeah I read that wrong.
I have no doubt it’ll be that long.
Her sister seed went 110+ days from sprout. (8oz) Some of the keefiest weed I’ve smoked.
She was about a 1/3 of the size of the one I’m growing now. 60EF465A-D969-4397-A51B-9E78F0D8502E.jpeg

Lovely plant btw. I was thinking earlier, do auto's take a longer to grow when in bigger pots?

I have grown for ten years, mainly auto's. I'm thinking of ditching coco and going back to soil. I love growing autos in soil in 6 litre pots and that's what I'm going back to in some of my tents.

Sometimes the pot is so big that it spends loads of extra time growing. I mean tbf your plants is stunning still, don't get me wrong, but she deserved a bigger tent really. I think 4 autos in small pots would rock the area and just top the once without all the tieing it down and that. Mind you, I grow in a 5 tents, soon to be 6, so I look for ways to make it simple. Having now tried big pots, little pots, coco, soil, coco hempys... I just want to grow autos in soil in 6 litre pots. You can start the in the final pots and fit so many in each tent.

Btw that is great training on your plant. Good techniques used, but for the amount of plants I grow I wouldn't have the time to do that?

Have you grown 4 plants in smallish pots in that area before?

Thanks!

The last auto I planted in a 5 gal to start, didn’t get big at all.
I’m not sure if it was genetics or the pot itself.
I think it has a lot to do with your watering practices. It’s easier to maintain a nice even water in solos and just switch to 5 or 7 gals, smaller if you prefer that.
I probably should have planted in a 7 gal but I had no idea she was going to be a monster.

She definitely could use a bigger tent.
I ran 3 autos in 5 gal last run and it was pretty tight.
Had the same idea going into this one but decided to try 2 for the extra space. (That’s not working anymore lol)
I had to get another tent(same size) for 2 other plants a couple weeks ago.
Where I’m living rn, I can’t work a 4x4 or anything similar.
I’ll be able to expand in a few months after I move :hump:

I haven’t grown in anything under 5 gal.
I’m thinking about doing a solo cup coco grow just to see how big I can get it.

Do you think you’ll take a hit in yield switching over to soil?
Do you think plants grown in coco tend to be bigger than in soil?

Won't take too much of a hit in yield. I reckon they will finish faster too. Coco is great, but it's too much work even hand watering once per day. I grew autos in soil for 8 years. I'd like to try soil with floranova bloom and a tiny bit of cal mag. If I mix it with my tap water it goes to 5.9, so I will up the ph to 6.3-6.5 with a few drops of silicone.

Recently I didi a few cbd plants in 1 litre pots and filled a 3 ft x 3ft tent with 4 plants topped once. That was coco, but still it was great. No lollipopping required. Top once and feed once per day. I got run off, then put them back in the tent, then filled their tray with fresh nutes and they loved it. It did make me think...

(Day 16 in flower)

I was watering every 48hrs
Switching to every 32hrs now.
She’s drinking a little more than a gal a day.
Feeding 2.0 ec - 1000ppms
I think she’s slowing down vertically.
Getting to the good part now!
