First time DWC. How do you start adding nutes and how much?

So yeah, I want to start with DWC in 10 gal totes, 1 plant per tote. I'm using GH Flora series. So the instructions say to add X amount of ml per gal.

a) So if I have a 10 gal tote, do I have to multiple whatever the GH dose in the instructions say times 10? Or

b)I just mix the recommended dose for 1 galon and I add that gallon to my 9 gals of tap water already in the tote?

I really hope the answer is b) since a) would be an insane nute consumption for 1 plant.

Yeah, use there dwc feed chart @ 1/4 strength to start out. So if it says 2ml per gallon, that’s 20ml in 10 gallons, 1/4 that and adjust as needed. So 5ml in 10 gallons. Most charts i see use ml per gallon. I have 80 gallons total, I would need 160ml if I was doing 2ml a gallon. This is rdwc, for example, search and see if it’s different for dwc. I’m not sure...

I used 3 gallons of nutes in my last run on that 80 gallon setup, Lucas formula, 2 gallons bloom, one micro, some Cali magic.

Thanks, consumption will be insane then, I'm only doing dwc cuz I need to do some experiments. I normally grow in soil and of all 3 floras I consume about 10ml total weekly for 2 plants, with dwc I calculate that to be 25ml

Is this the chart you are regerring to? Would you use it as it says or also 1/4?https://images.app.goo.gl/7n1kaSvHvhNwFaw59

Thanks, still, that's a whole lot of ferts, like 40ml weekly for 2 plants, like I said, soil would be about 10ml.

You really need a ppm and ph pen,you have to know what the strength is.Cant go by charts. For me i use 25ml A 20 ml B for 5 gallons and 7 ml calmag. This yields approx 500ppm.

First i would call your nutrient company and ask them in what order should you mix your nutrients into the rez. I use advanced nutrients and say i mix in bud candy right? Than immediately after that i mix in bud factor x my entire nutrient solution will go bad and get all clumped up.
Secondly check this link your question has been asked before this link is a example
.

What is your tap water?Hard soft?
It is in the middle, about 7.5 ph, using it on soil has never given me any problems, I have never had the need to adjust it on soil. I also have a RO unit, so I could actually mix both waters.

Hard water... is water that contains an appreciable quantity of dissolved minerals (like calcium and magnesium). Soft water... is treated water in which the only ion is sodium.
Use RO water bro.... No hard water. My 2 cents screw hard water and buy a cal mag supplement

Do you just splash nutes into the water to reach your desired ec? Charts are useful for baseline measurements, something like the trio also has a lot of info for elemental ppm. There is no guessing, I recommend that chart I posted. Mix it up, see where the ppm is rather then assume it’s no good.

no need to call, cal mag, micro grow bloom, ph up/down.
