I’m about to take knf_gardens class with a small group of people. I got him to bring down his usual price from $200 to $50 per head for a group discount. The class will be held on Sunday over zoom. Let me know if your interested & I’ll add you to our group discussion.
I dig those fcp videos. They get pretty in depth, almost too much. Lol

I’m thinking about making a copy of the zoom meeting for educational/critique purposes.
I got a gnat problem going on too... I'm going to try the hypoaspis miles after my next top dress. I'm pretty sure I'm getting them from the compost im using. :wall:
I got a few gnats, but that’s not was bothering me. it’s the damn root Aphids that look like gnats. I’m stumped on where they came from I hope it wasn’t the buildasoil worm castings. Double check that your gnats are indeed gnats and not root aphids. I’m trying to figure out where these fuckers came from? I start from seed...

I use their ewc and their build a flower. After I top dress I see all kinds of different bugs running around. Not sure if I've seen aphids. I'll have to do a lil more homework. I don't believe I've seen any symptoms, but then again, I'm new to organic and I've never dealt with any before. I may not be able to recognize the symptoms.

And unfortunately I didn't make it home last night, nor will I tonight, and tomorrow night isn't looking to good right now either.

My plants are in perfect health even with the root aphids. They are not out of control yet... Just got some weeks stems however that could also just be from genetics

Look for magnesium like deficiency and droopy leaves. Also scope one of the fungus gnats and make sure the wing is not longer than the body. Also look for the Separated thorax

Weak stems? Like break easily?

Ive been vegging some moms since January. I just threw them into flower about 2 weeks ago and they had thin stems from all the constant topping I did but they don't seem weak.

I'll be in the field. That will be info packed. After watching what he had to say, he has an interesting view on nutes. The only issue is cost of humic acid. Unless he makes his own, I could see that adding up. You will have to let us know what he says about running and breeding autos! I just popped my second ever and the other is two weeks old.

2 things will help with that. 1 a little more fan, 2. Silica. Best added by using vermiculite as part of your aeration. Start adding some to your top dressings and your starter mix. Thats for the long term. Short term, RAW has a Silica on amazon.
I was gonna get some agsil16. Is the RAW better? Cheaper?

I'm deciding what to do about a modest gnat problem. I've read that they are not as problematic in organic grows. How harmful would a small dose of BT be for my soil microbes? I've got decades of synthetic experience but I have committed to organic living soil and the learning journey I'm starting here.
Cover tops of pots, tinfoil. The little fuckers cant fly well. Disrupt them, theyll go.
