All things Beleaf, seeds, clones, buds, crosses, drops :bigjoint:

Been on my radar for a while, if you've not checked out Beleaf - BOOM, the guys got great energy and some killer frosty crosses.

Beleaf found the White Truffle pheno in a pack of Fresh Coasts Gorilla Butter f2, which is GG4 X Peanutbutter Breath. They've released the White Truffle S1 but its untested.

Beleaf has some interesting crosses coming up, check them out here on IG Beleaflovescanna

Definitely some interesting stuff but thought the whole white truffle cut craze was a bit much. My buddy grew a pack of gorilla butter from fresh coast over 3 years ago and found a killer pheno, and his cut is still around so I just didn't any interest in the white truffle cut. What people and growers(especially newer growers) should realize is...if they are running seeds from solid breeders with top notch genetics, they will find pheno that are just as good, if not better than these "breeders" cuts/ or other "named" cuts that are getting passed around and sold for high prices> for example- Kushmints (rabid hippie cut), apple fritter(lumpys cut), wedding cake(jbreezy cut) You don't need to be buying a $700 cut. Buy a pack of seeds and get hunting and I guarantee you will find something special. Anyeays excuse my rant back to thread- I am curious to see how beleaf's seed packs do.

He's got some great looking crosses for sure, The Creature crosses sound and look great. No Gorilla Butter f1s or f2s available to buy, Truffle was the next one for me and I liked what Craw did with her on IG.

Yeah me too.

I only run from seed, found elite cuts from the US and the UK other peoples tastes rather than mine. I'd rather put the work in popping seeds to find something to my taste to work with rather than the same cut every one else has and is working with. The best seeds I've run have been gifts, trades and crosses I've made myself.

I got an email from beleaf today. Drop is happening Friday, first come first serve by email. $200 for a pack of ten regs. Not sure I wanna drop $200 on potentially getting all males. Think I’m gonna wait until he starts to fem them out.

I think I read somewhere this strain was going 13-15 weeks or something. I respect them for at least being up front about it but what would possess someone to do 1500 or whatever pheno hunt of a herm mistake.. in 2020-21? I am really curious about these crazy terps he was hyping about though

You know whats funny is the beleaf dude bought and ran a shitload of gorilla butter seeds and doing so found and named the white truffle cut. When owner of Fresh Coast found out he flipped his lid, saying this was just a cut of his strain- gorilla butter. Fresh coast definitely wanted some credit and seemed salty about the whole thing from what I recall. That didn't stop Fresh Coast from releasing a white truffle s1 though, lol.

Thing is boutique growers have been running breeder seed packs and naming the elite cuts they pheno hunted for years. It's way to put your signature on a cut.

You should track down and run some crane city cannabis, I feel they have some of the best work around right now.

I refuse to order from anyone who engages in this behavior. There are more gene thieves than actual breeders today, I blame the Dutch for normalizing the practice in some people's minds. And $200 per pack...I'm sorry I clicked on this thread...I'll go now...

I think you just haven't tried to grow a new generation of breeders. My Sin City plants look much better than the plants of Serious seeds and Ace seeds.

I can see Fresh Coast's position for sure. HIs strain went from being called Gorilla Butter to being called something entirely different, which is a bit messed up. There's a pretty big difference between calling it Gorilla Butter (Beleaf's White Truffle cut) and straight-up calling it White Truffle. Seems like they patched it up, so I'm sure it's all water under the bridge at this point.

It can go 1000 different ways and I think as long as the person naming the cut is straight forward when asked and doesn't make up some mystery bullshit to cut out the original breeder, it's just the name of the game.

I also think it take having some connections and your named cut getting passed around enough to people with connections in the cannabis industry for a said named cut to gain widespread recognition

If you think about there's phenos being found everyday that are next level, exotic phenos and they'll never be known but to a small group. Hell I have found some stuff in the past 5 years that I truly think was some of the best bud I ever seen and puffed on.
