High!

Heres my first plant ever, at 4 weeks from seed. The leafs have been a bit droopy almost all the time. I have watered it 3 times, when the Coco has dried a finger deep. It was in a gallon pot, and yesterday i upgraded it to 3 gallon.

Does it look Ok?

And is it ready for topping? Its about 4 inches tall and the 6th node.

Bam0813 us spot on you need to water/feed it daily to plenty of runoff. Start real light with feed and ph it to 5.8-6.2 and do it daily even if you think it’s plenty moist but make sure you have plenty of drainage and you will see it grow pretty quickly. I was watering coco like soil a little here little there and all that does if cause buildup of nutrients so since I’ve started doing daily feedings with runoff my coco plants have taken off like crazy. Some good info on here and on coco for cannabis.com

Wrong treatment obviously. With that potting-up you will have hard times to make it working right. You either do speed of light reasearch and decision if coco is suitable medium for you. If not repot to potting mix, shes still young… start with topping once you have healthy fast growing plant. Good luck!

Thanks guys, obviously I mistaked coco and treated it like soil.

I upgraded the pot, as the roots were starting to grow on all sides of the small pot. I had a transparent pot that fitted perfectly inside another one, so I could monitor the root growth. I been warned about rootbound, so I didn't want that to happen. Did I overreact?

I have an almost 4ft plant, in a 1gal pot, and it's not even close to being rootbound. That IMO is an invalid concern for most people, especially new growers.

Read "Coco For Cannabis", it is the absolute best resource for coco growers, hands down. Growweedeasy is going to be a great resource for you, too. Go to both sites, take notes. You'll get it.
