Hes going to let China know there will be consequences if they supply Russia with weapons. Biden my ease some of the Tariffs set under tRump, which he already has to the tune of 150 BILION Dollars. Some of the tariffs may be unreasonable because of covid. China is only reaching 60% of their agreement made under tRump, but much of that is loss of demand under covid, so it may be practical to ease some of the existing tariffs if they dont supply Russia with weapons.. China is importing more USA good precovid, just not all they promised to do. I predict there will be hell to pay though, if China supplies them with weapons.
China sees whats happening to Russia/Putin, and you can bet they dont want the same thing to happen to them. The USA, and out allies make up 60% of the worlds trade. If it comes down to it, we can survive without hina, or Russia, but thy cant survive as a 21st century economy without the rest of the world.
The USA, and our allies control most of the food production/Exportation.

China and India are also large food producers, they tend to consume much more of their own food products

American companies dominate the food export market, which is, in part, due to an increasingly productive farming sector. The top export destinations of food produced in the U.S. include:

  • Canada
  • Mexico
  • China
  • Japan
  • Germany

China relies heavily on USA Imported food.

I would just like to say again that I am just so happy that 1. Biden won the Democratic primary, and 2. Biden beat Trump like a drum for the presidency.

I really cannot think of anyone more ready for the shit show that Trump and the insurrectionist Republicans left us in that Biden. I am really trying to imagine anyone else and cannot see them even coming close to doing as well as Biden has in holding everything together.

That we are going to engage in some trade deals.
We might re-evaluate the bullshit tariffs that did nothing but raise prices for the consumer, but that's it.
The Chinese are not going to piss off the USAWorld.
Why would they?
For that shithead Putin & for that shithole Russia?
It would be a PR diaster
China will simply get the popcorn out & watch.

Russia does $160 billion in trade with China per year, China does 10 times as much with the EU and America alone. It would be ok to sell the Russians groceries, clothes and consumer goods, they can't afford them anyway. The EU is still buying gas etc. Weapons and supporting the war in a material way would be off the table and nobody wants to sanction food or agricultural stuff. Food inflation is a headache for all governments and especially dictatorships, nothing shows failure like hunger. Vlad like Hitler fears his people and tried his best to make conditions good, Vlad did this too, when he had the money from oil.

In my mind, China is hard to figure out.
I have learned a bit of Chinese history and their culture goes way back. Something like more than 5000 years.
Their goal is to end poverty in China and they have a good claim on being exempt from some climate related concerns as a developing nation.
The USA achieved it's status as a developed nation but, China has a ways to go so they claim exemptions in the name of fairness.

If my guess is right China will do what is best for China.

Them talking is good but Biden has come off looking like a bully. Which is unfortunate and the relations between USA and China was turning a corner. Very destabilizing for the region using threats.

China doesn't want a part of this and will only grow stronger as NATO and even non Nato countries and Russia mucks about for the next how many years. I'd suspect China will keep trade with Russia (non military). Biden failed to persuade Putin from invading Ukraine. His threats don't seem to be making Putin withdraw. He does look weak in the case of Russia and bully boy to China. US involvement in Ukraine is becoming more probable and the situation is probably only going to escalate by Bidens rhetoric.

China is in for its worse grain harvest and an Army eats food.

My 2c.

And everyone is now yet again ignoring the plight of Palestine.

As they should. People from democracies fail to think on the timelines that a One party Gov does. China looks 10 or more years ahead where a democracy looks at the election cycle. Pros and cons for both.

You're not supposed to call other countries a shithole. Another guy said the same thing and people said it was racist.

Well I stand by what I said.

But then again I care about democracy.

So maybe I should ask, are you an American, and if so are you ok with the fact that the data Trump was given on American citizens by the RNC was handed over to the Russian military to help their attack on us?
