Not true at all and a waste of power, as the saying goes if you aren't comfy neither are your plants . My plants aren't tweakers

They’ll probably stretch more, and have a higher chance of stressing into hermaphroditism. I prefer 18/6 or 20/4. They should definitely at least get a little dark period each time. I have run 24/0 with no problems, and it tends to keep the plants more squat, but I feel 18/6-20/4 is the healthiest way to go.
