Should I top off res during flower?

This is knowledge I didn't immediately see in any of the guides or that I wasn't able to clearly extract. Thanks for painting the picture! Important stuff

Should I top off res during flower?

One of the girls is drinking so much 3 weeks into flower. Should I top off the res with ph water? It's more than half empty 3 days after a change and I'm changing res every week.

    Smell in grow room

I'm not sure the best method for leak checking the connections. How would I tell if the filter is being overpowered? Will get to this later today after sleep

    Smell in grow room

Unfortunately I'm a Canadian but brothership. The smell is starting to emanate around the entire house and even outside so I would have to say that it's not only when the fan kicks in which is probably about 3 hours a day. I assume that the filter can handle the fan at full strength as they were...

    Smell in grow room

I got this fan filter combo. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B00DIH7TL0/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It is 3 months old. Air is sucked through the filter, light hood, into the fan and through ducting outside. Two intake vents are opened at opposite sides of the tent and looking at the tent when...

    Smell in grow room

Have a 400 cfm inline fan and carbon filter combo inside a 4x4x7 tent exhausting into a 30x50 foot basement. There is some noticeable odor in the basement with one of the autos into about week 3 of flower. Carbon filter problem?

    Fighting Nasty Root Rot

On Thursday during next res change, I'll be sure to give the system a wipe down (thanks for a step by step guide @fragileassassin). Monday I'll top up Hydroguard to hold the res over.

    Fighting Nasty Root Rot

Here's an update, everyone: I pulled the trigger and bit the bullet for another quart of Hydroguard (94$ CAD). This isn't meant to disrespect the other bennies out there or their fans :P. Further, because the underwater roots appear fairly white, like they're trying to fight, I've decide 72f is...

    Fighting Nasty Root Rot

None of those are problems except maybe dirty grow area. Like I do not clean out the res weekly with peroxide. I was under the impression I shouldn't and that doing so in a large system would be really hard especially when the plants are fat as fuck makes no sense

    Fighting Nasty Root Rot

What about peroxide scrubbing down everything in the bin and letting the roots soak in a peroxide solution? It will be a readd situation :(. Is 2 ml / gallon enough to do the job? 40 ml for my 20 gallon solution and 20 ml for my 10 gallon solution. Totes are bigger than even 20 gallon so there...

Hydroguard remains incredibly difficult and expensive to get in Canada. I'm nearly out.

    Fighting Nasty Root Rot

So just res change and clean everything with peroxide then readd hydroguard and nutes as normal? What's the procedure? Wipe down Everything? Even the lid? Even the roots? Swap out air tubing?

    Fighting Nasty Root Rot

So I should run a sterile res now??? Fuck hydroguard, southern ag, orca, z7 etc??? I don't want to feed my plants chlorine in such high doses ;-; Why is this happening :l. All those beneficial bateria start at 100 for the smallest amount in Canada too... So what do I do - poolshock?

    Fighting Nasty Root Rot

So what you're saying is I have to sterilize the Res? Don't the roots have their own colony or film in the res and sterilizing the res will kill it all? Roots do not move easily. I have not yet sterilized the res I was under the impression during a natural res (non-sterile) you don't do that...

    Fighting Nasty Root Rot

Okay so the situation is dire again, despite the thousands I sunk into this project. I'm really losing hope here guys. I've done everything I can. Hydrogaurd (used all my supply just about, 1 quart in a month), cooling even making a hole through the floor for the intake outside to keep res temps...

Because the furnace is there. I think it about 20 feet down the temperature of the earth is pretty consistent around 60 to 70 Fahrenheit in most of North America.
