    Which dehumidifier?

I have this one: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Toshiba-50-Pint-115-Volt-ENERGY-STAR-MOST-EFFICIENT-Dehumidifier-with-Continuous-Operation-Function-covers-up-to-4-500-sq-ft-TDDP5013ES2/315084748 and it has no problem keeping my entire ~1400sf unfinished basement in Northern IL at 55 or 60% year...

    Jacks and Dr Earth

rofl literally everything can be called a chemical. Our plants especially love that chemical called H2O!

    Jacks and Dr Earth

Those nutrient lines are at completely opposite ends of the spectrum: Jacks being a salt based synthetic nutrient and Dr Earth being organic amendments. Which one you use depends on you, not the plant, per se.

Air circulation or just wind blowing around?

Aside from some light squeaking, I am happy with the hurricanes so far. What about airflow at the floor level/under the canopy? That is what I have my box fan doing now.

Air circulation or just wind blowing around?

That's more or less what I have. Actually, I have a shit ton of fans at my disposal, 2 Hurricane wall mounts, a couple regular floor standing oscillators and a box fan. I'm just trying to maximize efficiency rather than having 4 fans fighting each other. I'm still unsure if there is a reasonable...

Air circulation or just wind blowing around?

In this room at this particular time, an HLG 600R and a Mars TSL-2000 but I am only asking re: airflow/circulation. I have exhaust covered.

Air circulation or just wind blowing around?

In regards specifically to environmental control and not the perceived importance of doing so, is there an effective difference between giving air a particular path around the room versus just having fans blow shit around? Both scenarios assume as much air coverage as possible and little to no...

Is an observation window worth the extra money ?

I have cameras in my room but I'm an idiot and still find reasons to poke my head in multiple times a day. Same with my tents, although that's more because the windows distort the view.

    Quietest in-line fans

I'm curious if there even is an answer other than AC infinity. I have a Cloudline T6 and it's quiet as hell. I have it set to 7 and have to be within 15 feet or so to hear it and even then it is barely audible. It exhausts directly outside and standing right next to the vent, the only way I can...

Who grows DWC without a chiller?

I personally use bennies because I am a sloppy POS. I've got peppers and beans growing in soil in the same tent as my DWC grow so the only time my tent, or anything in it, comes close to being sterile is when I wash it down with bleach in between grows.

    Transplanted from bucket to tote...

That's a good idea, thanks. I did make one single mark to indicate when it was full, but I didn't think to add individual marks. I'll have to pick up a new/2nd tote so I can make it right. Well hot damn. That's a "DUH!" moment if I've ever had one. Thanks again.

Say it ain't so: it's root rot, isn't it?

So, as promised for all the future readers, here are some updated pics. I ran into some grow room constraints that forced me to veg this plant for 2 months instead of 1, so I went ahead and transplanted it to a 17 gallon tote. I flipped to flower on 4/15 and did the transplant on 4/19. I also...

    Transplanted from bucket to tote...

Started with a 5 gallon bucket but my veg time went longer than anticipated and I didn't want to outgrow the bucket, so I moved it to a 17 gallon tote. I cut a hole in the lid for the net pot then another hole for access that i cover with some spare mylar tent material. I also cut some holes in...

Measuring light in tent during dark period

Thanks folks, you all were right. I zipped myself in the tent and discovered there was some light that wasn't being picked up by the Wyze cam.

Measuring light in tent during dark period

I have a Wyze Cam v2 in my veg tent but I am going through some reno's on my flower room and I have a DWC plant that is outgrowing my space as well as its bucket. Is it safe to say that if the cam is not picking up any light during lights off, then it's dark enough for the plants? It's a cheap...

Say it ain't so: it's root rot, isn't it?

I'm a bit drunk., so I am just going to post some pics i just took as I was doing a water change and I'll save the rambling mess that is in my head for another day. The roots look great but the plant looks meh. However, this will be the first time I've actually done a proper water change since...

Say it ain't so: it's root rot, isn't it?

yea, for sure. I see that now. I guess by "lazy" I meant that I didn't want to have to pull the lid off and check water quality every single day multiple times a day. I was hoping for at least a little bit of set it and forget it, even if that meant just for a few days. I dread the prospect of...

Say it ain't so: it's root rot, isn't it?

So it would seem like this little mafucka has turned a corner thanks to you guys. Growth has picked back up and it has already packed on a new node that looks healthy. I've checked the water a few times and it doesn't seem like it is eating (EC/TDS is stagnant, pH is rising slowly but still...

Say it ain't so: it's root rot, isn't it?

At least in my case, I am going to chalk it up to questionable genetics. I got my seeds in bulk via donation and those donations ultimately come from random breeders that seem to exist only on Instagram. I don't want to name drop when talking about it in a negative light because I am more than...
