Can a rootbound plant produce good clones?

Hi everyone! The title of this post is a question i had to ask myself recently, so I'm looking for more experienced opinions.. I have two "mother" plants that went rootbound in small pots and now show really short internodal distance, along with twisted leaves and droopiness. The plan was to...

Cover crop over Clay balls, need some advice!

Hi guys! I'm now setting up a new outdoor grow in Organics (Autoflowers, a bit late but in my country it's still good).. I was looking for an advice about covering the soil to avoid pests and water evaporation.. I got 40 liters air pots with 50/50 coco perlite in em, covered the TOP layer...

    PERFECT Res Temp without approximation?

Hey Growers! I wanted to ask a simple question trying to figure out what the perfect temperature for water in hydro would be, within maybe 2 F. (I got a new tool that allows me to regulate it without approximation) Let's say i have a DWC - RDWC system, i use h202 to sterilize the water and...

    HELP! 3% PEROXIDE IN HYDRO!

Update: After more or less 20 hours in the 4 ppms chlorine bleach solution, the plants entered a state of droopiness that only worstened with hours passing. So, it surely work as an extraordinary and temporary patch for problems but not compatible with plant life i think, in my case

    HELP! 3% PEROXIDE IN HYDRO!

After less than 12 hours with 0,1 ml/L bleach, roots on the seedlings are looking white again and the bit of slime had nearly completely disappeared. (Maybe they look a bit skinny, wrinkled and twisted compared to when i use bennies, but still healty) Crazy how fast it worked. :weed:

    HELP! 3% PEROXIDE IN HYDRO!

That's interesting. Do you use bleach with plain water or regularly dose it into the res? At which dosage..? Still find myself a bit scared to give my babies an house cleaning product but 10 years are a lot of experience  I use GW with an extremely low dosage, kinda slowly inoculating...

    HELP! 3% PEROXIDE IN HYDRO!

I've read that are three different types of chemicals in different pool shock types, I think I'll create another thread to ask about these ones and the right way to use it.. Also I've not found coherent info yet about the right dosage of 3% h202, so i've simply done the math and will maintain...

    HELP! 3% PEROXIDE IN HYDRO!

Thank you Herb&Suds. Pretty sure it's from the heat rise experienced in the last two days, now I've fixed the temps. I think I'm going to try the drug store peroxide first without changing the res right now (water looks clean, I've got multiple inline filters). If the problem is persisting...

    HELP! 3% PEROXIDE IN HYDRO!

Thanks for answering. I've been running dwc and rdwc only in my last few runs, let's say since one year ago, and with the right temps, I've only had problems when running bennies from the start. That's why I figured out this way of setting up things, I won't use h202 for the whole run...

    HELP! 3% PEROXIDE IN HYDRO!

I'm running h202 for the first weeks to give time to the roots for developing (to make sure everything is clean and sterile) , then I plan on using bennies when they'll have a place to build a colony.. Temps were good (65-72) till yesterday, I left the house and came back to 78 F, and the...

    HELP! 3% PEROXIDE IN HYDRO!

Hello everygrower, I'm currently having a big problem in my rdwc system, and really need an advice. The seedlings have been in the same res for one week with 12% Food Grade H202, no problems at all. The fact is that I've ordered some more h202 time ago but they are still not shipping to me...

    Beneficial Bacterias in RDWC?

I would say price mainly.. GW lasts a long way in his powder form and requires a little bit, while using Food Grade H202, (i have 12%, 1,5 ml/lt for 80 lt res, like every 4 days)... will cost much more. Also I've read that H202 could cause problems with the uptake of chealated nutrients...

    Beneficial Bacterias in RDWC?

Great White worked very well for me in RDWC but with an already established colony of bennies attached to the roots, as i had the plants transplanted from single DWC buckets.. Another option I'm thinking about would be growing the plants with Peroxide for a few weeks then switching to the...

    Beneficial Bacterias in RDWC?

Hi Growers! Just cleaned up my 4 buckets RDWC system for a new run, the seedlings are already waiting in rockwool cubes to be put in the system. I plan on flushing the whole system with a run of R/O water and Hydrogen Peroxide (in addiction to the main clean up i've already done), before...

    Will this Seedling Grow?

Hi everyone, i'm asking for an opinion on a weird seedling of Cream Mandarine fem (Sweet Seeds) i sprouted this week. Her three sisters are growing just fine, but she is looking like this: You can see the first two really small leaves from the right prospective, they look intact even if a lot...

PPMs IN FLOWER LOWER THAN VEG?

Adding calmag to the Hardwater bottle btw resulted in too much magnesium together with the Bloom, and if I lowered the Bloom amount I came out with lack of Sulphur and Phosphorus. That's just what has been working better for me lately with the bottles I had! Ratios seems pretty on target: 200...

PPMs IN FLOWER LOWER THAN VEG?

Sounds about right, thank you for your time! I wanted to give all the details so that if there was something off you should have been able to tell.. For the question about the nutrients: I've calculated this formula over a lot of researching and experimenting, and I use the two micro...
