So the run off was about 5.3, the nutrient mix was phd to 6.3 going in, so should I raise the ph of nutes going in to even it out? I’ve never checked the run off before I’ve read there is no need in soil and try not to get that much run off as it supposedly can flush out microbes.

Sorry this an old thread but how did you get on using dry amendments in coco? I’m thinking of doing the same but have read mixed reviews? Thanks

I’m going to be making some dry ice hash with some popcorn bud I have left and trim, was just wondering do I need to grind the buds up or can I just use them as they are?

I just use tap water I think it is soft water? Not too big on the water ppms I’ve never really measured them I’ve only ever used biobizz nutrients just use them at half strength and don’t go too wrong but always seem to have at least two plants every grow with these problems.

I would love to grow organic in coco will definitely be giving it a try in the future, I have found a company that does dry amendments you can apparently mix into the coco and all you have to do is water and can get good results called dr forest, but I think first time round I will just be using...

Yes I’ve seen the video but I’ve also read that a few people have had problems following his method doing this.

I don’t think so I never let it dry out completely, I just wait until about the top inch or two is dry and then water.

Yes I have read that I was thinking of buying pre buffered coco to use something like canna coco pro plus and use some of their nutrient line as well as it seems pretty simple to start with good results.

Yes I’ve been researching it quite a bit and seems you have to get ph and the ppm bang on or you run into trouble and it does seem more hard work and time consuming then soil grows but just fancy giving it a go, I thought you couldn’t go organic in coco?

Ph is always within the correct range though? I’ve read that it’s not even that important in organic grows as the soil buffers the ph anyways? And yes going to give coco a go next time round looking forward to seeing the difference between the two mediums.
