Seeds from molded bud; genetic effect?

Coastal NorCal humidity and September rain destroyed a few of my plants with botrytis mold (I strongly suspect), two of which were seeded. I’m honestly okay with that, and am actually hoping it will carry a genetic resistance but could it go the other way? -or no effect? One of the plants is...

Look at my crazy mutant cola and stalk!

I might make a belt out of that ribbon of a stalk. Overall healthy plant; I do realize some spotting on leaf- feel free to diagnose, haha. 2nd generation (IBL) cross-to-clone of Durban Poison x Kwazulu Feel free to share any mutant pics here as well.

Leafworks; I just bought sex tests

Anyone ever use them (Leafworks’ Sex Tests)? How long did results take? Dropped 240 for 16 tests, but looking forward to the time saved not having to worry about setting up a light dep for my young greenhouse plants and doing the am/pm ritual, just so I can figure which ones to clone for the season.

    KMUD Community Radio

From the heart of the “Emerald Triangle”, check out this great radio station. No advertisements except quick shoutouts to local sponsors. Right now is my favorite call-in/talk program, “Thank Jah it’s Friday!” Anyone else ever listen? I hope it’s not against the site rules to link this. Just...

When Cannabis is Legal, NEVER FORGET

NEVER FORGET how many people are STILL in Prison because of Plant charges. NEVER FORGET- “Conservatism” created those laws that insanely put people behind bars for YEARS OF THEIR LIVES. “Conservatives fear freedom” I’m free to say that because thankfully progressives have pushed the US forward...

Laytonville Farmer’s Column In Mendo Co.

The author of this has a recurring column at MendoVoice. I’m just sharing this because I really appreciate their sentiments, and I think many farmers can relate. Hopefully the mods allow this, as there is some cannabis correlation but is really just an essay and on farming practices. If you...

What’s the longest recurring dark period…

…you have used to finish your Sativas? Have a small greenhouse with a Spiderfarmer 1000D to supplement, and these girls are taking longer than I remember their parents ever taking. I do not black them out but will be forced to now as the equinox just happened here (probably should’ve done...

    Cov-19;-22 Posting for Posterity

Found these nice new pruners for my fruit trees. Comparable price to favored brand, but can cut a quarter-inch larger than most. I also really liked the minimal amount of plastic and appearance of using recycled cardboard. Got home and laughed at the name combined with tagline: “CORONA’ ‘SEASON...

“Buy” or “NoBuy” any of these items-

On CL. Notice the author’s note of “used one season for teens”. Was thinking about the A/C infinity fan but how many months of being constantly on would it last?

“End of the World” broadcast for CNN. Thoughts?

https://www.theverge.com/2015/1/5/7494947/cnn-final-broadcast-doomsday-video I personally find the song chosen for it boring and very “white-bread”, so-to-speak. Not that that really matters. Do you have another suggestion? Link it here

    How encompassing is your soul?

And are you religious, spiritual, or nihilist (or more)? The most important (to me) question: “Do you believe in infinity?”

Jar-up, but wait to full trim?

Have dried and bucked down flower, that only has some leftover long sugar leaves on it, and it has been jar curing over a week. I contemplated the difference in quality of bud that sits fully trimmed in a jar, vs. untrimmed bud sitting in a jar curing. I normally would’ve fully trimmed before...

PM in late flower. Best organic solution?

Swinging towards milk, baking soda, or citric acid. Anyone have first-hand experience using any of these in late flower (strains are Durban Poison and Kwazulu; both are Sativas so longer-flowering)? How, or was, taste affected? Did you have to rinse before drying? Did it get rid of all, or at...

    1st time putting in-ground; Question-

Northern Cali, near coast (shoutout if you recognize where/who I am), and it’s my second summer growing (though I’ve had multiple harvests), and it’s my first time actually putting a plant in the ground. I am torn on whether I should prune this beauty up or not, and if/how much I should...

Found this while looking into Castor Oil. CA Pesticide Chart

https://nrm.dfg.ca.gov/FileHandler.ashx?DocumentID=161610 I found an old bottle of fungicide for topical human use, and was curious about it’s active ingredient, undecylenic acid. I had tried some on a little athlete’s toe, and found it worked great after one application. So I discovered it’s...

A little PSA- Let’s Talk Heavy Defoliation, aka “Shwazz”

I have two autoflower Banana Kush, sprouted on Jan. 18th (stated earlier in other posts but was confused). I will call them “1” and “2”. Gave them each a good bend in the stalk early on to slow growth some, and they began to flower around week 4 (white hairs formed in abundance). 2 suffered a...

Feit Electric “Closet Rod” Light for Veg/reVeg

So this is outdoor in a greenhouse. I’m really just using it to keep them “awake” at night and reveg. Clones were 14 days into 12/12 when taken. Probably put them outside a little early but they are doing well after 3 nights. A little bedding cloth thrown over for added warmth. Question is: Has...
