HOW TO KILL SPIDER MITES 100%: " Naturally - no chemicals"

I have had surprising success with predators, both ladybugs and predatory mites. But I have also heard people say that washing them off with a hose will get rid of them and apparently that didn’t work for you.

    Your latest seed purchase?

I got a shipment from Irvine Seed Co. the other day. I am dying to grow some Acapulco Gold from Alter Ego. I also got a few free Donut Shop beans to try out. It’s bred by Irvine Seed Co. and it has a bunch of Wedding Cake DNA.

    Irvine seed bank review!

I went ahead and bought a few seeds. Looking forward to planting the Acapulco Gold and Orange Daydream. I also got a sample of Donut Shop, which has a lot of Wedding Cake DNA. My wife and I grew a few Wedding Cake clones outdoors in Downey during the pandemic and we were impressed by the potency...

Is curing for improving flavor or potency?

I think the effects of some flowers will change with age after harvest. I would not throw anything away if it doesn’t have a strong effect immediately after harvest. Some of the THC will decarb if you just let it age a month or two. My wife and I both noticed that some batches of flowers would...

What does Epsom salt do? What phase of life is it best to use?

Epsom salts are a convenient remedy for magnesium deficiency. If you have rose bushes that look like hell and you have tried fertilizer and it doesn’t seem to be working, you can throw epsom salts at them and half the time they will be better looking in a few days. The best thing about epsom...

The ever present and on going war vs....

I ordered these off Amazon and so far I think they’re good. Earlier I got some ladybugs and they also ate a lot of mites but I want to see if I can establish a population of predators that will stay in the grow area.

The ever present and on going war vs....

You can use bean plants as “trap plants” but like the other poster said, they will turn into mite factories unless you have a control system set up. They might be good for detecting an infestation at an early stage...

    Hydrogen peroxide

I sprayed the plant with peroxide from a drugstore, the same stuff that people spray on minor wounds for first aid. I used enough to cover the small weed, just like I would use an herbicide.

    Mildew?

Bud rot, maybe? I think that mildew is more of a problem on leaves. We got a little bit of it in our grow tent earlier this winter.

    Hydrogen peroxide

Peroxide can damage leaves a bit. I tested some on a dandelion once. It didn’t kill the plant but it did cause some damage to the foliage.

“Costa Mesa Eyes Limiting Number of Cannabis Shops”

The proposed limit is 35. I only count eight “storefronts” on Weedmaps in Costa Mesa FWIW. https://voiceofoc.org/2024/03/costa-mesa-eyes-limiting-number-of-cannabis-shops/

    DIY THC/CBD Topicals

I make topicals using coconut oil and decarbed trim in a crockpot. I am planning to experiment with adding shea butter so that it won’t turn liquid at room temperature in the summer. I prefer to “rinse” the trim with water before infusing it in oil because this will remove some of the...

Back to the ‘70s: Did anyone ever actually try grafting cannabis to hops to fool the narcs?

I have seen it mentioned but don’t know any details. I think I read something about weed that has leaves shaped like duck feet, which might be harder for cops to recognize. I’m lucky to live where I don’t have to worry about the police bothering me.

    Extractions at home

We have been using pure ethanol for extracts for a few years. My wife has recently been using the Magical Butter Machine to make glycerin extracts also. We also use coconut oil in a crockpot to make topicals and some edibles. We also started freezing trim before rubbing it over a screen to...

Back to the ‘70s: Did anyone ever actually try grafting cannabis to hops to fool the narcs?

I can remember reading articles in High Times or other hippie publications about how hops and cannabis are supposed to be closely related. Because people knew barely enough to recognize the shape of a cannabis leaf, some geniuses thought it would be a good idea to graft one branch of a cannabis...
