    Need Wiring Advice

I salvaged a 23w 120v AC vent fan from an old microwave. I want to attach a power cord to it. I have 2 - 125v power cords, 1 is 5a the other is 10a, the 10a has a ground, the other is just +/-. How would I go about doing this?

    Bagseed Harvest

Judging by the pistil concentration, you picked it early.

    Is the fan big enough?

From the ground to the ceiling is only 95" and I'll run in a few feet through the crawl space and connect it directly to bathroom fan vent. I'm guessing no more than 16' of total ducting.

    Northern Lights

You might get 2 oz, with a 450w hps you only get a good 12" of light penetration, next time keep the plant short and squat, top and lst or scrog, you'll double maybe triple your yield if you do so.

    Is the fan big enough?

Is a 440 CFM Inline fan enough to cool a single 1000w hps (connected via cool tube/hood) in a 160 cubic foot space? I've heard you want to vacate all the air in your grow space at least once per minute, this will vacate all the air 2.75 times per minute or once every 22 seconds. Is it enough?

    Darknesz before harvest

Yes but in nature there's no such thing as a 24-72 hour dark period, thus it not be genetically predisposed to "repair" itself passed a certain point. Evolution: 1, The rest of us monkeys: 0

    Would this work

Depends on where you're located. 2000/800 Air will be displaced every 24 seconds or 2.5 times per minute which is good. Unless you live in the devil's butthole and your lights have cooltubes/coolhoods, you should be fine.

Too hot too humid to dry/cure?? Solutions!

If you're worried about humidity, Lowes and Home Depot sell a product called Damprid, it lowers RH and eliminates a portion of odors with no chemical vapors. Also THC doesn't break down til well over 250 Fahrenheit. UV on the other hand will, keep dry buds out of direct sunlight.

    Would this work

One thing I realized in both growing and building PC's, exhaust is far more important than intake. The majority of your air can be passively brought into the room, mostly do to displacement. I would have both inlines for exhaust and let those booster fans be for intake.

One of my CFL micro cabinet plants

So this plant was very top heavy, branches were surrendering to gravity. Been flowering for 10 weeks, I vegged for 5 weeks, topped twice and lst'd a bit. It might have been picked a little bit early, maybe 70% milky 5-10% amber trichs. I had two plants each under 4 - 26w 6500k 1800 lumen CFLS, I...

    Opinons on when to harvest

I harvest when my plant looks like shit, the buds have cannibalized the leaves, the calyx swelling has slowed to a crawl, the pistils have mostly turned brown and started receding like my nutsack in cold water, and the sheen from the trichomes have gone from sugar crystals to a sandpaper finish.

    Male or female?

    That's not a calyx, it's forming a cluster of nut-dust.

Is this done? I already put it in dark.

Foxtailing is a sativa trait, so this pheno might be sativa dominant. Most growers don't harvest sativas til at least 20% amber. My 2 cents.

    cannabis science

As far as I know, the female cannabis plant only produces resin for two reasons, to protect itself from solar radiation and to keep itself from drying out. So keep your plant as close to your light source as possible without burning/bleaching it and keep your RH as low as possible during flowering.

Clear Trichomes Appear White, Milky Appear Grey

I feel dumb. For some odd reason the clear trichomes are reflecting more light back into my camera and appearing white. The milky appear dull and grey and I thought they were clear. I was like, "Why are my milky trichs turning clear?". Next time I'll remember to turn my flash off. Not really a...
