Hello cultivators,, all is in readiness for my first attempt at a bubble bucket,,of course I asked the question about nutrients, and as always different views on what is the best,, two brands have been consistently recommended,, the GH trio, & Canna Aqua
I've decided to run with the Canna;;;; mixing instructions suggest 20 mil to 10 lt or 2 mil per litre,,,does it need to be mixed at that strength the entire veg run or can you get away and is it safer to run a lower dose for the first phase of veg
Any input appreciated

I use Canna hydro. Very first time, i mixed up my rez acording to their feeding chart, vega A + B, Rhizo, Cannazym, i just followed their numbers. Came out at around 1800ppm and fried my girl to a crisp. First and last time i did that.
Just use the basic nutes Vega/Flores AB, start low, 200ppm. If she feeds, ppm will drop, so raise it 100 or so. If it rises, its too much - lower ppm. This is how your plant will tell you if shes feeding or not.
Im generally up to around 800 when she starts flowering, flowering somewhere around 800 -1200.
Good luck! DWC rocks.

No worries. Invest as much as you can in good quality ppm and ph meters. I have 2 ppm meters both cost about $60 good quality but not the best. I use 2 just to be sure, they are pretty temperamental and if one is off then it can totally wreck your grow.
Cheers!

Hey thanks for that
I've grown in Coco,, perlite,, soil,, and keep looking at the growth rate of dwc,, it's sort of a curiosity killed the cat thing,,
My best grows have probably been in soil (Canna Terra pro) which is heaps easy and only 3 nutes to worry about, but it definitely takes longer
Various Coco and perlite ratio mixes, I have experimented with,, lots of mucking around with ph and ppm and runoff ppm,. Yields are similar to the soil,,
So now to have a very basic crack at Aqua
Thank you for your help

you cant go far wrong with GH, there the market leaders for a reason, and allways use at 1/4 strength for seedlings to small plants then go to 1/2 strength and see how they grow. this maxing out of the PPM is bullshit, weed needs far less food then the charts recomend . ask any grower worth ther weight in gold. they will tell you the same. LESS IS MORE when it comes to weed

great point, never skimp on the important things, they are your tools for sucsess. and remember tds pen needs no calibration but a ph pen will need to be calibrated at every use in my opinion. i may be anal about it, but its the most important pen in my opinion.
wash out the rez with every change of nute solution, in flower more so then growth. grwth is simples, but when it comes to flowering, thats when you need to be clean and presice to get the verry best from your dwc. yes you can getaway without cleaning the rez, but nute salts build up and suck the same salts out of solution and can seriously cause you many a headache.
good luck with it. gogo
