Awesome! Thanks, Southernontariogrower!

I'll be sure to report back on the drying, curing, and vaping, as well as comparing the high between the 1st harvest at 77 days and the next harvest at (at least) 90 days.

First batch (harvested after 77 days since flipping to 12/12) jarred after five days. Still faster than I would like, but my drying environment is not ideal (68F, 53%RH). I put hygrometers in both and will check them every hour in case humidity rises above 65%.

I also vaped a sample before jarring. Very clean and potent high. Taste was ok. Not a lot of couch lock or body high. 6 hours later, I'm coming back to baseline and I feel very sleepy.

I also vaped a fresh, wet bud one day after the chop. Tasted awful and the high was racy with paranoia.

Yeah, it's supposed to be. I don't know why my plant is taking so long. Maybe I'll just harvest when I see a spot of amber trichomes on the buds, just in case. There's quite a few amber trichs already, but they're all on the leaves and I'm supposed to ignore them.
Does feeding in what should be late flower slow down ripening

In my humble opinion, it depends how much you are feeding it. In late flower, growth slows to a crawl, as the plant is near the end of its life and the only parts still growing are the calyxes (and maybe the roots), so the feeding should be far less than usual (less than a quarter of the regular dose I think).

Even though five days of drying was a little too quick, I jarred them at just the right time. After 24 hours the small jar read 58% and the large jar read 62%. I dropped in a Boveda pack into each jar.

Flowering Day 84 (Week 12):

I took photos of the plant and close-ups of its buds. Despite being 12 weeks into 12/12, I still do not see any amber trichomes in the buds in the pictures. Even under a magnifier, I could not see any amber trichomes at all, even at the top part of the buds. Weird.

Flowering day 91 (Week 13)

I vaped another sample 10 days into curing. I don't believe the quality is going to change drastically from curing another 2 or 3 weeks. My verdict is that it's a clean high, with very little couch lock or psychedelic effect. The taste is alright, nothing particularly stands out. It's weed.

I think SouthernOntarioGrower was right: this was harvested far too early for me. I prefer a much stronger couch lock.
I looked under a magnifier and could see only a few amber trichomes here and there. Not a lot. This is 91 days into 12/12; that's 13 weeks for a supposedly 9 week strain. I don't what is taking so long.

I think I'll wait another week or two.

2nd Batch Harvested (Day 93 into 12/12)

Feeling a little impatient, I harvested a few more branches. This is what the rest of the plant looks like now.

20220527_232532_d115f93.jpg

I snipped off the branches that were bending the furthest away from the light.

I managed to take some photos of the trichomes with my cheap digital microscope.

Some more photos of magnified trichomes:

I was expecting a lot more cloudy-white and amber trichomes at this time (day 93 into 12/12). :-?

Sampled my 1st partial harvest. I vaped a full chamber of bud (which is 250mg). I forgot to take pictures of the bud. Sorry. This cut I harvested 77 days into 12/12; dried for 5 days; and has been curing for 19 days.
Wow. Curing makes such a difference! The last time I vaped this batch it was too racy for me. This time, I am stoned!
This is a photo of my remaining bud still alive. I couldn't be bothered to take a photo of more than one bud.

Yikes, looking back at those photos, I spotted some off-colour bud at the back. There appears to be no gradual discolouration of the trichomes. No white-amber-brown, just white and dead. And the brown stuff looks suspiciously like mould. There's also a cluster of male parts at the bottom that have long gone and blown themselves way before I even noticed they existed. Ugh.
Should I remove these immediately, just to be on the safe side?

If anyone can confirm that it isn't mould and it's safe to leave it as it is, then I'll just document the progress of its deterioration.

Day 125, 103 days (14 weeks and 5 days) into 12/12 - LAST HARVEST

I decided to harvest the rest of the plant.

20220606_233612_d125f103.jpg

I was getting nervous about mould, and the plant looked done. The calyxes look very swollen, there are bananas all over the place, and the buds look like they are starting to degrade (turn purplish brown).

I took pictures of the purple parts of the bud using a digital microscope. Fortunately, they don't look mouldy up close.

This is by far the latest I have ever harvested a plant!
