Hey Cookies, I planted my boss hog in miracle grow seed starter....didn't fertilize at all.....
Planted out third week of May..... Do not prune or top, if you do the plant will fail in wind. One of mine did, I had to splint it back together, managed to save it but it yielded a little less than the others...the plants tend to grow in a somewhat rounded shape and did not exceed 5 feet in height. Wonderful yield and the buds were white and very sticky to handle during trimming. I intend to grow this again. Be careful you don't get carried away with the nutes and water, the plants are really sensitive, especially to water. Get an inexpensive moisture meter so you can test down into the pot. I find myself watering when the top is dry and that's too much, the moisture is still there down inside the pot. A meter might help you. The leaves will discolor and growth will slow or stop if you give them too much water. Prepare your outdoor site now. All I did was three handfuls of 16/16/16 fertilizer and a bucket of mulch dug into a three foot circle about a foot deep. But, I did it early enough so the fertilizer was incorporated into the soil when I set out the plants.
Didn't fertilize again at all. Harvested in mid-September, a little over a pound of finished Bud per plant......
