Found three flower sites with bud rot, two on Balkhi 3 and one on Waziri 2. All three were minor, on the lower end of sparser side colas and easily cut out, so not all that alarmed. Hadn’t sprayed with BT since the 18th, so hit them all again.

Balkhi 3 has been the most vulnerable; she is also the closest to being done and will get the chop if I start seeing all that much more rot. My bagseed in the pot and Waziri 3 haven’t had any whatsoever, and Balkhi 1 has been clean since the one tiny spot I found three weeks ago.

Balkhi 3 nastiness, before and after -

Need advice how close are these ?
Id say between 2.5-3.5 weeks, But they could mature quicker out of nowhere... Your better off just waiting until all those white hairs change color and then post a pic. Between mid-end Oct. should be good to chop.

Looking good so far, Dont quit now you'll be extremely disappointed.

WTF Massachusetts!? What the hell ELSE you gonna throw...? F*&ckn bugs, slugs, hurricanes, early frost, and now wet and warm with mold and bud rot... GDMN! When is everyone chopping?
My hairs seem to be redding at a fast pace. I think I am done with nutes, try to get 1-2 more weeks for a mid October harvest.

This up coming rain is a God-send to my lawn (my business is about looks and I have to water all summer, but have stopped the last two weeks) but at the same time is so bad for all our bud.

Have spoken with the wife, have tentative permission for a 40x15 hoop house next year next to my greenhouse now. Want to get exhaust fans and roll sides like the other member on here, blanking on the name for some reason right now.

IMO covered outdoors is potentially the ideal way to grow for me. Maybe a couple lights down the center for early spring, late fall supplemental lighting. All comes down to $$$$ in the end.

Moved my 9 foot tall girls indoors into the shed and brought every light, fan, dehumidi I had in there... that's when I saw the hermie on one plant too late... now have a seed run on a couple plants at least. Then things got real warm and humid and BANG there was the PM. And some bud rot. Can't grow 'em outdoors, and can't grow 'em indoors. SH*T! Are the buds still smokeable if there's some PM on the leaves?

Yeah, look back a few pages there was some guy with a ton of it on his plants... I guess he just grows it out like that, and washes the buds at the end in 5gal buckets when harvesting (he listed his recipe IIRC) Many people wash their buds... and even though I spray weekly for PM I know I still miss some of the stuff that grows inside the buds that I cant get to with the spray, but I have washed buds in the past and really didnt notice much damage at all... I was wary of losing smell or taste, but even that wasnt bad at all.

I wouldnt stress too much about it. Def take care of that bud rot though... cut a wide swath around it to be sure you got it, and spray heavily with 3% h202 which will help with your PM too.

Youll find its the swings and differences in temps/rh that cause most problems. These plants are hardy and can handle low temps and stuff, but if the temp change is too quick or drastic, itll cause more issues than if the plant were to like slowly get cold on a 30° night, and slowly brought back up to temp. Hope that made sense.

Good luck :peace:

What looked like a dreary forecast this week has changed to somewhat nice weather only raining once instead of every day. So I’m happy about that. Although it did rain last night and I found some traces of PM on a few leaves but I should be able to take care of that. Gonna try and pick up a couple more small fans today and get air circulation 360deg in the whole garden if possible. I took the day off today to concentrate on my plants lol it’s crunch time, the next few weeks are crucial

I cut PM affected leaves and buds off whenever I see them. If it's on a flower but not too heavily, I'll rinse the flower in 3% hydrogen peroxide by putting it in a pill bottle and shaking it, and save it for hash - checking of course to make sure the PM doesn't return. Same with bud rot - if it's just a little, I cut out the affected part. One thing I did notice is that the peroxide at that strength definitely dissolves some terpenes, as the solution takes on the smell of the flower.

Dew points are high through Wednesday, then after that extended forecasts show pretty smooth sailing right into the middle of October with only a little rain and cool temps that hopefully get these girls motivated to finish. Showers woke me up in the middle of the night, and of course I had just sprayed B.t. yesterday. And so it goes.

I cut bud rot out and unless monster harvest don’t trash the whole thing.
A-little white mold never hurt anyone, it’s the black mold and rot that worries me more and I will focus mostly on that. If there’s a ton of white mold it’s gotta go tho too.
