So I was watching this special on grape vineyards, some of the best grapes have mold issues as well, so, they place these little 'hats' on the fruit and it works! Prevents mold. Now I'm not sure about a 'hat' for my cola, <although nothing is out of the question> however, I am going to try a method of spreading out colas, toothpicks, breadbag plastic clip, mini-clothes pins, I'm gonna try something!

Looks like some rain and cold temps coming in so that was it... Oct 15th actually not nearly as bad as last year despite the rain. Chopped 3 Diesel crosses today and they smell pretty good!
Yup yup Choptober I'm freaking exhausted! Those damn attic pull down stairs will be the death of me someday! At least that's full of home garden to start.
The closer I looked when wet trimming plant branches, the more sneaky little rot I found hiding here and there.
Eff the battle, I'm in a window, it ain't Saks, but it ain't a Walmart either.
At least I won't run outta room this year :eyesmoke::sleep::sleep::sleep:
Night all .

I salvaged a mess of buds today and took down the remaining parts of a few plants just to have them gone and not festering. What flower's left is going to have to ride it out through the rain because I'm out of drying space.

i managed to hold out until today before deciding to chop. we were dry most of the week besides the foggy mornings.

been trimming for a couple hours…haven’t had to cut out much rot off this plant, at least. my hopes of trimming all 4 today are too ambitious though. it’s taking so long for this one.

I finished trimming and hanging #3 yesterday and trimmed #4 of all fan leaves with a visible right up to the colas knowing more rain is coming tonight. G Bear, I dont know about you but I’m exhausted. Trimming with arms fixated upwards live while in the pot on a step stool/ladder bites but is still way easier and faster than trimming “after” the cut (thanks for that little tip Pioneer)… I couldn’t fathom trimming (4) ladies in a single day. (My (4) are/were between 6’-7’) That would definitely be dang aggressive in imho! lol  Like Pioneer, I found residual rot not seen previously while trimming too. Lost at least (1) full cola on #4, but overall the lady is still pretty salvageable. Then comes the final trim jail after they dry… Some of these outdoor colas are as big as my whole final indoor branches and that’s also after harvesting the complimentary residual outside side branching. Outdoors is a biatch given the default dependency on Mama Nature, seriously tested my patience but I see everywhere and I mean everywhere in the NE that this is an outlier to an average season regarding moisture so I factor that in to my overall final assessment of my 1st outdoor grow! You guys, girls have been fantastic to share events with…I’m proud to have jumped in this year! Finish strong!:hump:

Outdoor winter grow question…
Strains: True OG. Wedding Cake. Ice Cream Cake
~4 weeks in ish from clones
Too late to top? Lollipop?
They are probably getting 10/14 right now.
No mutes yet but starting in a couple days…
Any advice would help, getting darker soon.7D4783F8-F75F-44DC-ADBD-9F8C84C786B7.jpeg5CCA6806-03D7-4F3E-981B-25E2E94E4EF0.jpegB69DF362-6915-4239-9220-8787C881F7B5.jpegD4115F38-94C7-4801-9764-775CA9F722C6.jpeg

Chopping my last two Blueberries tomorrow, as they are ready. My GelatoOG’s and Peyote Zkittles, and one of my Wedding Cakes were almost a complete loss(totaling 7 plants), but not an altogether dismal haul this year, though certainly considerably lower than last season. Might actually have enough to last me through the year.

My game plan for next season is:
9 plants so that I can space them out more for improved airflow. 9 plants that I know are proven outdoor performers.

Veg and snap. Once your vegged, squeeze the branch below each shoot till it pops. Try it with one plant, you'll see. Freaky cool.

Ok, CHOPTOBER, I almost waited out this last storm, but with deer season opening Monday, wicked storm coming tonight, all that's gonna happen is more rot at this point.
I left a short 5' one monster cola plant, topped my AK and Jack Herer, cut all my special gifted plants including a Gelato and a Balki or two.
After this storm goes, pens #2 & 3 at my pals is gonna be a party. Literally, a party. We kick out the ATVS and the Grills, and fire chain that chit to the tobacco shed, <slightly modified> ending with the bonfire before crashing out, getting up at 3 am to go deer hunting.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy harvest.
oh yeah, what's his names bud? Better than yers. :blsmoke::clap::p:cool::hump:bongsmilie

ok guys. so my dumb ass never anticipated having to dry so much weed. normally i grow one or two in my little tent then dry it in there.

i think im gonna have to brown bag it this time. never dried this way. am i running the risk of mold while drying? i split the 13 ounces of undried into two brown paper shopping bags. plan to shake them up a bit a couple times a day. trimming another plant tomorrow. the other two i may try hold off a week, idk.

any advice?
