My past week in 3 pictures  Found a stinky pheno of pre98, I tossed the rest, took clones from the one. Cracked more seeds...

Few cuts before tossing more showing off my new snips.

Sincity blue power, back to rock wool and ucroots.

TLDR: stunted my compound genetic plants with pool shock, decided to toss, stunted my next set with peroxide, decided to toss.. I’m good now.. lol

I have the same one but going to sell it. After some testing with an alcohol lamp I don't need it to know I have lots of CO2 in the room burning a little methyl hydrate. Cool little units but just guessing at some of the CO2 levels so redundant in my case.

Well I haven’t used this one too much, it seems to work ok though, running on bottles. Rooms pretty sealed up, I been venting with co2 off for the past while with my root murder issues.

I'm sure they work fine for controlling a solenoid. Fine Canadian made piece of engineering and all. I just don't feel like coughing up a bunch of money to rent/buy a tank and the refills are pretty pricey too. I just used it to see how much CO2 I could generate using a candle or my alcohol lamp and they both raised the CO2 up to and over 1500 as long as the exhaust fan didn't come on. Just being in the room for 15 min. got it up to 1250. Room is 7x9x6.5'h.

The only time I want to use CO2 is during the stretch when I allow the temp to get up to 90F before the exhaust fan kicks in and with a 1000W HID during winter it may not get warm enough to kick in at all. Have a 400W going in there now and the heater has to come on once in a while to keep it at 75. Could probably use a little CO2 now as the exhaust never comes on with the couple of plants that are in there now but 9 babies coming up that will want more soon.

As long as venting is going on CO2 isn't really needed at all. It's just going to be evacuated anyways.

I noticed sometimes the monitor is showing 900 plus ppm with no co2 injection, figure it’s never atmosphere in the area here. I lucked out and grabbed 2 used tanks on Kijiji, had to pay $25 each for recertification, another $40 to fill.

I went sealed because my 6” vent exhausts outside and I wanted to quit using can fans, try it out anyways. Rooms sealed with no extraction or co2 now, just ac and wall fans in there, seems to work with the small biomass I still have going, will use the co2 again a bit later on. I was running a timer on one extraction fan, more for when the lights are out later on, had it on 15 mins every hour during dark.

Just being in the room for a few minutes raises the CO2 a lot. I saw my meter go up to 1250 and over in just 10 min when it showed a blinking 1000 at the bottom. Would be nice to have a digital one that showed from zero up to 2000 or more but that model GroZone was $200 more so almost 500. She'll get the 1500 blinking when I burn the lamp. I had to take 4 or 5 shots to catch the light on for this pic. lol

CO2Controller03.jpg

My first alcohol lamp. 3/8" copper tubing soldered to a mason jar lid and tiki torch wicks. With both wicks lit it goes way over 1500 in 15 min and even 1 wick goes over 1500 to where I can't tell. I made one using 3/16" tubing and a cotton shoelace so it only keeps the room up to 1250 when there's quite a few plants which is fine by me. A single candle can do that and would really boost CO2 in something like a 4x8' tent. I tried a candle too just to see what it can do.

The same lid fits on a 1 quart mason jar for the grow room but in this pic it's in it's desktop heat source mode. Saves on BIC lighters when I need to heat something up. :)

I'd like to run the room sealed too. Then I could keep the RH to something better. Most of the year it's way too low. The exhaust fan has a Temp/RH controller so when it's cool enough it never runs like now and the RH is around 50% when it's only 10% here in the mancave. I bought a big 600CFM Can-Lite filter a few years ago and have never used it. All sealed up in plastic so should still be good as new so may sell it. Not as paranoid as I was before pot got legal up here and no close neighbours so smell isn't a big issue. Farm country. Things stink. :)

To go sealed I'd need to get a double hose portable AC and that's close to a grand. Then more to get a tank of CO2 and run that. Refills aren't cheap up here and it's an hour away to get any at the welding supply store. Not sure it's worth it as I may bug out of here in a year or two.

Those are pretty cool, I just watched a video on a diy loop style alcohol torch. I imagine we have the same winter RH, it was -42 in the wind last night 20% in the man cave today, hydro keeps the room around 35 but I will bump that up in a week or 2.

I mounted a window ac up higher in the room, it’s only 8k, had to take it all apart and seal it, black out the foams and what not. With all my screwing around, the rooms been running a couple months, full flower will test everything, the de humidifier is killer on temps. I have another 1500 watts of lights setup. One thing I changed this time was fixed my DE fixture @ 9 feet, the side lights are the only movable fixtures, they slide up the wall.

Back to the boring start... here’s a seedling today, blue power bx2, they all look good, I can now say, I prefer rock wool over rapid rooters.

I’m back to my original plan of 4 sites 4 trees, pre98 bubba clones are in there too, not sure what I’m doing with those, they stink so I would like to flower one out, maybe in soil in the tent, not sure yet on that.

-50 windchills this past 48 hours, decided to make ice water hash. Right side is 220, left is whatever went threw 120 onto the 25u. Not sure why the 220 is blondish, not sure what to do with that. I bagged and dunked, little different then my norm, didn’t bother with a second run. Couple golf balls worth anyways.

Some solid rooting on the pre98 cuts. Stinky things.. I’m running one in the hydro, just set it tonight. Been neglecting them.
