2x8 grow lights

So I’m sure this might have been asked and answered, but I’m new new like joined 5 minutes ago new. Haven’t had time to search I work a lot. Anyways, I want to buy a 2x8 grow tent. I have a 2x2, but want to expand. This size would fit great in my room just because the dimensions. I’m using a viper spectra bad ass light pulls 550 from the wall I think and a timer on the light itself. Works great for a 5x5 that I wish I could get. I’m looking for two bar style lights that pull quite a bit from the wall and are good quality lights and would like them to daisy chain if not that’s ok. Any recommendations on what you would use. Trying to keep it around $500-$600 for the two lights. Thanks and sorry if this has been asked before.

2x8 just aren't manufactured unfortunately. You'll have to use 2- 2x4's instead. But you only need 250-300watts of efficient WHITE based Newer Led tech such as boards or bars/strips. Options are endless.

just like airwalker said, it is endless, and with that price range you could grab lights from hlg or build your own strip build, look up led gardener strip build, and you should be good to go

In case you would like to actually give that page a read:

Strips are really great for spread, but if you've got some cash, boards are your best option in my opinion.
Using boards in a fashion where the longer length of them spans your 2' tent, setting them one after another, side by side by side for the entire 4' I think would give you the most even photon blanket.
That or use 2' strips, fashioning them spaced closer together at the edges of the 4' and gradually spacing them a small distance more away as you get towards the center, in theory, is the absolute, hands down, best spread you could have in your situation. I just don't know how inclined you are to build 2 2x4' fixtures. But using 2 HLG-320H-##B MeanWell drivers would be an absolute powerhouse of a build. That way, you're able to dim to 240-250, but have that extra 70-80w if you want it. You said you wanted to blast light on your space.

As @Airwalker16 said, if you want those approximate dimensions, you will need to buy 2 2'x4' tents. Either that or build your own 2'x8' enclosure. Try to utilize as much of the rooms height as you can as well.

Something like this light will flower each 2'x4' area nicely. You can use them to veg as well. The internodal spacing may just not be as tight as it would be should you use a higher color temperature light(E.G:4000k).

Two of these lights cost $700, but they are high quality. Also you can use RIU10 or DIY10 to get 10% off of that price. So just a little bit over your budget, but not by much. Alternatively you could buy the boards and heatsinks from HLG, and buy the other components elsewhere to save a few bucks. HLG does charge to ship boards and heatsinks (like $12-20 dollars for a small order), whereas the kits are shipped for free.
