.... If your light is 18/6 like you said, and it's flowering, it's an auto.
I was at 12/12 for the first week of flower then switched to 18/6 to see if it made a difference with anything. Plus having them in the dark longer I feel like would only help things. Sorry for not clarifying.

I just read that more time spent in the dark can't hurt and could only promote healthy flowering. I'm not sure how much of an actual impact it'll have if any or even if its viable information. Ill have to do some research into DLI. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated do you think I'll need to tie all of these cropped branches up?

These are on 12/12 (since birth 42 days ago) with 55k lux in the centre and 45k on the outers. 110k lux is just ludicrous, especially if your over 12 hours. Those top buds are at a DLI of 116 over 18 hours which is insane. Eeven 75k lux is a DLI of 82 over 18 hours and 55 at 12 hours.

55k lux is around 950umol/s, 110lux being closer to 1900umol/s if you have an average 3000-5000k spectrum. I'd back the lights off and spread the plant a bit.

I prefer to run a larger board dimmed In a smaller tent to keep lighting footprint even. For example I'm using a 240w board (70x30cm) in a 90x50 tent at 160w. Pretty even spread, just dont look at the lowers lol..

I read it wrong and assumed you were 18 on 6 off lol. I've never seen a 6/18 schedule. As others said, stop overthinking it, stick to a basic 12/12 schedule and look Into DLI.

Quick reference. .A DLI between 30-50 is considered the usual. 55k over 12 hours is a DLI of 41. So anywhere from roughly 45-65k lux over 12 hours will be fine and in the ballpark if your plants metabolism is running.

DLI is basically a measure of photosynthetic flux accumulation over a 24 hour period represented in moles.

Thanks a ton. I have to look into it more when I have time to sit down. Hopefully I keep them healthy through the rest of the grow.

Those look awesome. Yeah I'm trying to not overthink it which I feel like I've done a little at times. I did away with the zip ties and supercropped once more. Bending branches halfway down giving myself another 6 + inches of space above the tops.

Don't worry we all do it at the start. I absolutely toasted my first indoor plant with a million bottles and way too much light.

You think I would've known better as I had been growing 6-7 ft plants outdoors for three years with nothing but seasol and a good garden bed, but I still fell victim to the curse of overthinking and over loving.

You may want to believe more is better, but the comments above saying limit to about 55k max is just right. The lowers do fine, sometimes even better if you overdo the top.

What you wont see until too late is too much light. By week 6 you would see fading color and they would not last. Such a good lesson to right now just limit to 55k at the top. Well said before :)
