If you start those plants at 18/6 indoors they are going to start flowering as soon as you set them outside. You're going to waste a lot of dirt and a lot of nut's..
What lighting cycle do you suggest so they dont flower when I put them outside? Planning on mid May here in Cali.

Bro I have been growing outdoors for many years and I start my seeds the first week of march give them 20/4 for the 2 weeks , then 18/6 till the may 15th then I go 16/8 then I transplant outside last few days of may.

Appreciate it, thats pretty much along the lines of what I have been hearing. In Cali so just waiting till end of May to transplant outside, hopefully ensuring they wont flower then reveg.

I am using a 30 gal smarty...20 gal bags....and 5 gal pots....I dug them all into the earth, the 30 and 20's only dug them about 4-6 inches and amended soil beneath them, the 5 gals I drilled about twenty half inch holes in the bottom of those and dug them in 2x4 foot holes(wider than deep) This is my first grow outdoor(all indoor) and IM shooting for 1 pound a plants, strains our blue dream, purple cindy, and cherry pie......I did all different to see what turns out best. Any bets on what will be the biggest yielder.....5?20? or 30?

I'm in the Northeast and usually run my ladies in 25gls of my own supersoil and get 6-12 zips per plant. I always run indicas.

Redman said it perfect. I did 30gal geo's last year and wished I went 60+ specially if using geo/smart/fabric pots. It is hard to believe that it uses all that room, but they do and yield bigger.

I wonder what the point of diminishing returns is with amount of soil. Some say 1oz/gal but how much soil does that stay true for? Guys up here use 400gals and get crazy numbers, but not 1oz/gal at that point.
We’re in co! Can’t start outdoor until June, should I go
With 30 gallon smart pots?
