Started seeds october 15th of november.
Neglected rough start. Were stunted in really small pots.

Transplanted from cheap hardware store pine bark soil, into coco, 7 days ago.

I couldnt even see a root when i transplanted, they were stunted and it was just crumbly dirt coulsnt see roots or anything.

7 days later, i feel like they are exploding.

Had 3 waters so far. And the pots look like in 1 more week they will be ready for another transplant, roots look massive just 7 days after and the growth is unreal, considering these plants were stunted they wouldnt even throw a branch they were in pure preservation mode.

Had a few strains for seeds, and kalishkanov was the most resilient and strong, by a long shot.

One in particular looks like it has such good node spacing and just looks like such a strong plant with good genetics its my favourite one. The other 5 are good. 3 are really good 2 need too catch up. But this 1 is my favourite.

Interesting too see which one is the best pheno too keep as a mother

Will keep 4 of the best, and grow n flower them under 2500watt hps old school lights. Air con.

I will post some close ups, ive never done hydro or coco before, but feel like, i may have the beginnings of a toxicity or deficiency, maybe some one can help.

Feeding at 5.8ph
Ppm is 480 so i think that = 1 EC
Water from tap is 0.7.

I did the first 2 waters at 1.2 ec and 6 too 6.2 ph.

But from now on backing down too 5.8 and 1EC.

I think i may have too wait until the disease or defienicy shows it self more too me. Right now its early days and hard for me too tell.

Aiming for over 4 pound, should last me a year of smoke.

Perfect time to use hps. I see stunted plants that look more like they are clones than seedlings. The roots look very healthy and so do the plants, but the structure of the growth was stunted and they are just catching up. That's my take. I use organics and soil and grow too much to want to water that much personally. How do you have 2500 watts of hps? I was just trying to do the math some how and couldn't lol. Like 2, 1000s and a 600?

And AK and white widdow can be some yielders for sure I grew white Russian from serious seeds before which is the same cross Besides alot of them herming in a crazy way ( like every other branch was boy and then girl.) The 2 girls out of 13 that didn't herm or weren't boys were big yielders, and definitely had the old school look to it with rods. So 4 pounds is definitely achievable with that, I know that each breeder has their own version of a strain that can look vastly different. That's just my take.

Was thinking maybe doing a 600 led as well just too see what preforms better but I'll do a side by side next round for fun. I've only ever seen good results with old school lights, never seen someone pull a big yield with LED, I spent 2.5grand on LED when I was younger, about 8 years ago I think, they were supposed too be the bees knees and yeah set them up at mates places, on 2 occasions, but couldn't get them growing.

But when I look back I was dealing with Muppets, they wouldn't even water, I was seeing big 2 gallon pots with rooted transplants in them, and I would go around to this place that I've put 3k into, and he is watering with a coke bottle, only just bigger then a can of coke.

Wouldn't even wet the whole medium and couldn't seem top get a grip of the concept that the whole thing needs too be flooded and drained for it all too go through a consistent even wet and dry cycle.

Blew My mind, also didn't want too instal a stealth air ventilation system out of ply wood and curtains or something, just so we can vent the air I had brought big fans for the big tent in the room, ducting hangers the lot, and he would just turn fans off when I would leave, shut the door, not even attempt too keep good temps, didn't think ventilation or didn't realise how important environment is,

Didn't clean the room, anyways the whole poor abused and neglected plants then got infested with spider mites, and he was trying too save them and stuff they were so bad it's like they were just stem and a few leaves hanging on about 2 foot tall at most, me being super generous, probably really only 1 foot !.

And then a meth junkie broke in and stole it stole the 100 dollars of the trashiest chemically spider might infested little leaf and stem plants, and didn't steal the 2.5k of LED lights above these chat plants

And the second, was in a big caravan with a container atrachment, and this guy wouldn't turn the aircon on and would leave them in 100f temps. No ventilation no circulation and no watering skills. A straight up narcissistic dope loser !!.

Not even joking, he would leave game systems running all day, air con all day n night in the container section of his cabin, door open, wasting power and lights, but wouldn't turn ac on in plant room nor the fans. Just the lights.

Anyways I tried too help people who cannot be helped too much in this life time but I learnt many valuable lessons so far doing so. And has made me who I am today, I have suffered at the hands of stupidity so much in my life and it's taught me who too help and who not too help, I think the thing 2022 taught me is too help myself first before anyone even spouse. Because then I am 100% and can help people from there, and if it fails at least I'm good Gromie haha.

Then he was such a loser, his mum had informed him the power bill is 300 dollars higher, (peak of summer and this loser wasted it all by sitting home all day in the AC smoking PGR weed the only weed he liked lol), SO, he tells his mum it's the grow light, and they actually expected me too pay half of her useless sons pathetic weak excuse for a man, power money.

I paid 150 dollars and I took 3000 dollars of gear away and sold it all and was just dumbfounded.

Growing weed ain't free cost about 50 a oz or whatever the hell it costs !

Ah I literally writing this for my own pleasure too just laugh and reminisce on the crazy dumb stuff I've dealt with.

This guy would call his grandparents for weed money and lie too his grand dad about how he just needed 20 bucks for a game subscription or a phone bill never would offer too work for it, and I've heard it personally on speaker phone he did not realise how pathetic it was and was not afraid too show me.

So when this guy hits me for 150, half this power bill, after I've set him up too use 3k plus worth of gear, and he's stuffing it all up, and the stupid power money with his own dumb problem.

This guy smoked 500 dollars worth a week, on benefits, never left the house, never grew up, 1000 a fortnight and then would leech parents or throw tantrums.

I heard him and his mum stressing and talking behind my back as they pulled into the drive way, and I just couldn't believe it.

This guy would invite a friend over, his friend barely smoked and would bring his own personal use, and then the guy would blame his friend too his mother, that he smokes all his weed when he visits and that he needs more weed money Hahahaha, that he is just using him, and just make this poor guy who was a good friend look like a straight up piece of trash too his mother.

His mother approached one day and said he should be ashamed for smoking all her sons weed and he told her the truth and she probably in denial, living in fantasy land with her weak son blaming everything like the power bill on other people like me or this other good friend.

Good people, get crapped on, it's up too us, too choose wisely where too spend our energy, ourselves first, then family and good people.

Just had a volcano and went on a wild tangent, but ! Point being, that, LEDs were not given a fair testing in my past so yeah sometime in 2023 I will do a really high quality 600watt led vs oldschool light test.

100%, this strain is great structure. I like it, not many branches like a big sativa, not as much stretch, but controllable thick rods, you only need 6 - 10 solid branches with a hydro coco plant surely pull a pound off a big one vegged too a good size.

I could muck around and try get 3 harvests in a year but 2 is fine

They were stunted, and hadn't made that much growth I guess since the transplant and since forming the roots, but growth is insane, I'll update now, I feel like they doubled now.

Since last posting, I have spent days researching watering and automation.

I did 2 attempts at a watering system, and here is photos of the second attempt.

The girls had 2 days with no light and not much watering.

Finally, it's not where I want the watering system too be in terms of the control and water flow, but it's good enough for now, I can manually just turn on each valve and flood each plant well approx 3 times and give a good amount of run off, it's powerful so fills the pots quickly, hence I put white river stones too protect the erosion of the fine coco so I can fill very fast with no negative effects of erosion. Can water them in 3 or 3 mins, do that 3 times a day.

But it's not reliable how it is, I can adjust all the valves and set them too similar flows, but, when I turn system on and off ect and heaps of little things can lead it too not dispersing evenly or reliably, would fail if left on a timer on its own, possibly flood and problems.

Going too build v 3.0 soon, and build a diy manifold out of pvc and Plumb it up and see how that goes. I'll run all the lines individually from a manifold too each plant VS all T pieces and elbows all coming from one line.

Found out my pen was 500, my nutes are ppm700

Added 100ppm of magnesium sulfate pure crystal

Feeding approx 1 ec

Leafs look like they are going greener now and heading from the deficiency, can't tell If it was magnesium or that I wasn't watering enough now that I'm watering 3x a day.

This is 24 hours later after the girls finally got back under the light, 2 days of no water or light but going good. So much easier for me now.

And I'm recirculating this res i mixed up, the run off is measuring in my target range close enough I'm not worried.

Going too double the nutes too the manufacturer recommended dose on 1 plant just too see if I'm under feeding them.

Monitoring what I think is magnesium deficiency.

If my version 3 of watering system works, using a manifold, then all I need is a reliable high quality seconds electronic timer that works with seconds and small intervals, then I can hook up the 53 gal reservoir, with 50 liter temp res doing recirc I reckon 3 days and then a fresh res.

The 53 gal I'm not sure what I can achieve. Maybe I can set it up so I can flood too waste all of the res water and see how long that lasts, or can I use recirc and waste.

Basically learning how too automate for fun and less work. Go on holidays.

Was interested in fire Sprinkler system just for over kill protection.

Bumped food up too 2 ec, using the ppm700 scale now as that's what my nutes use. Finally figured that out and changed my ppm pen too the 0.7 scale as well.

plants receiving approx 3 times more nutrients, fed with calmag as well.

Would not use 19mm line like I have bringing water too plant pots. I would reduce down as small as I could go and still get the water flow and control I'm after. By the end of this journal I will perfect a automatic watering system, well 2 different systems, ones feeding a small veg tent and the other water system will feed the 4 monster plants.

With the 19mm and bigger lines that come off the main line too feed plant pots, when I trained these plants and tied them down, it was very hard too get them back into the tent with the water lines and its just painful, so I will change and create version 3.0 of watering system, but it will do for now. But eventually will have a perfect system dialed in.

Split a couple stems I should have probably trained earlier but have been busy, family stuff, and also been putting alot of effort into researching nutes and creating the water system I have so far.

You can see below the worst split lol. It's pretty bad, I dripped honey on it and I'm just going too leave it too fend for it self.

One branch ended up with about 70 percent or 80% of itself still intact and the other branch got the short straw but I'm keen too see if it can bounce back and fatten itself up.

Not sure when I'll transplant, maybe shoot for 4 weeks.

I have too install a air-conditioner for the room, I was going too use a window air con. But I'm going too buy a second hand split system, and use the aircon tools and do a temporary install of a split system, just because they are more energy efficient and better control of temp and humidity. 5kw aircon

Instead of buying big trays I just decided too build some cheap ply wood and plastic lined trays. It is 2 meters long, 80cm wide, and 20cm deep. just because of what's available in my area and the freedom too custom size the trays.

Also, can reuse timber on other projects if you don't need it anymore. Learn more about creating things by hand with what materials are cheap and in the area helps, can make too get the most out of a room and have things fit in a tent or room exactly how you want them ect so there's pros and cons.

Plastic 1x1m x 3 would be nearly the same. Except I would have too Plumb 3 trays vs 2. Not a big deal, or picking them up and driving them back home is a big deal, but so much lighter and maybe easier too move house and pack up and put away.

Anyways.

I'm slowly getting there, one thing at a time, do this run with coco. Then I'm going dwc as well. Will still keep these trays as a spill protection zone. It will be plumbed through the floor into my garden for other plants.

Also have a big timber frame going up over these trays too hold lights n filters n fans.

Keen too fire up 3000 watts and see how much heat I generate with 3 cool tubes and a massive fan pumping. hopefully not much

Still have too make the other tray which will equal 3 meters long. I made it a bit wider so I can fit more pots in then the 4 I plan too grow 4 big monsters, but more room for other plants, like seed raising vegies or clones. Will update as I go. Room should be done in a couple weeks and then set and forget pretty much.

Black windows out, just because I don't need nosy people knowing about my medicine people steal grows around my area, might vent the air through the floor via lifting up some floor boards.

Plants have been ignored, and left underneath a standard household light prpbably 20 watts to keep them in veg. They get starved for light for sometimes a whole week. Barely watered just enough to keep them alive, they have been patiently waiting for their grow room to be set up properly lol. Id advice the room to be setup before the grow commences .

It took me time to design the grow room and the drainage, the frame to support my lights, fan and filter. I still am going to need to install a AC, which will be a window ac but installed in the growroom itself ill vent the hot air out with the the hot air from the cool tubes.

Running 1600 watts sitting at 25 degrreees celcius.

But it doesnt matter ill throw a scrog net on and veg for a couple weeks and then ill flip to flower. Next grow i will be dialed in and the clones will be plqced into perfect environemnt with watering sorted and done for them.

I had 4 outside but got attacked by a dog, 1 died, 3 injured heavily lol.

Im gonna aim for 2.5 to 3 pounds will update when done.

Drainage is all automatic now just gotta set up big rez and automate the watering. And just clean and tidy and make it easy to pack up everything on short notice as may be moving at any time

Got rid of big trays and used small ones gives the room more space and easier to plumb it up. Raise and lower lights ect

Take clones of each plant soon qnd then flower, ill label all and only run the best genetic ak47/white widow, and the only jack herer after that.
